Free Agents TNA could use

This is a thread to discuss who you think could help TNA if they were brought in. This of course, applying to Free Agent. I have a few in mind, please share your thoughts.

Batista -
Am I a fan? Absolutely not. The end of his career with the WWE was horrendous in my opinion, BUT, I still think he could be a decent draw. Batista is a guy who still has name recognition, that's NOT "washed up" like Hogan, Flair, etc. which I think could def benefit TNA. Because you have a big name, who could come in a put over the homegrown guys that they're pushing now, and also probably get TNA some more views also.


Goldberg -
One word: Crimson. If you brought in Goldberg, and have him tear through a few guys in some nice feuds, keep Ceimsom undefeated and building him up, and then have the two finally do battle with Crimson going over? I think that would do wonders for him.


My next choice WOULD HAVE been Brock Lesnar to put Samoa Joe back on top, but now he's back where he should've never left in the first place... I would also throw him Gregory Helms, Chavo Guerrero, and John Morrison to re-build your X-Division.

Goldberg would be a good choice.... Bring the reality of twitter and they words they had ( him and Crimson) to life.... Maybe a feud with Kurt Angle or Matt Morgan???

A few guys in the WWE I think need a fresh place to work.....
But agree Chavo Guerrero would be great in TNA, David Hart Smith, John Morrison, Gregory Helms, World Greatest Tag team if they ever leave ROH or Briscoes!!!

The problem I got with threads like this in the TNA section is that there is already a huge depth of talent available headed by a creative team that may just have a small idea of direction, now that Russo is not around. They need to sort that first, then enhance where they can.

Now this is more of a sound idea of who should be brought it. I'd just go with your top 5 and take off the Young Bucks (their tag style, while suited against the MCMG, fits better in DragonGate) and replace them with Super Crazy. Do I think it'll happen? No, but I really feel that TNA should try to bring in Harry Smith. The addition of him would actually add some value to the roster as he can be used in multiple forms... Also the idea of Tyson Dux/Kidd coming over would make me happy. But ultimately, they have a pretty sound roster as they sit, they just need to use them right. Seriously, they have hands down one of the top 3 best wrestlers today (I'd argue he is number 2 but him and Punk both have the positives and negatives) in AJ Styles, but he gets left off of the show 2 weeks in a row before being used to "build up" Storm before Lockdown. With the roster they have, they need to focus on writing story lines that focus on what they have before bringing in more talent to be taken off TV (btw, how is Devon the TV champion and has yet to wrestle on TV logical?)

TNA's roster is big enough already and just need to push some of their current talent.

1.) "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero-I've said it time and time again this man should be TNA's top face because he could be TNA's Rock. Did you see how over with the fans he got in 2009/10? This guy was crazy hot and TNA in all their wisdom and glory decided to Kaz, "The Pope". For those of you who don't know "to Kaz" means to take someone who is super over with the crowd, Kaz back in 2007/08, and changing their gimmick or put them in a stupid storyline. Seriously TNA has "Kazed" a lot of people including Kaz, Jay Lethal, Samoa Joe, "The Pope", Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, and many more. TNA seriously needs to push this man.

2.) Austin Aries-This man to me has all the potential to be TNA's version of Shawn Michaels. This man is amazingly gifted in the ring and on the mic. The only person who I think is better on the mic is "The Pope" and even that is a push. I know this guy is already being pushed as X-Division Championship, but I think he needs higher level feuds. I would love to see him feud with Robert Roode or another top level heel.

3.) Kaz-Now this one is iffy for me because ever since TNA "kazed" Kaz, in 2008/09, he has never been able to elevate himself back to that level where the fans were chanting his name every night. Has he been good? Yes, but I haven't seen him go back to level in 2008/09. Could this be creative's fault? Maybe because when he was hot in the summer of 2008/09 he was competing with Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe, then TNA Champion, in some great matches. However if he could elevate his game back into 2008/09 form then he could be one of TNA's crown jewels.

4.) Gunner-A great talent who in my opinion could be another top heel in TNA along with Bobby Roode and Bully Ray. This guy is pretty good in the ring in my opinion, but the one thing I haven't seen yet is his mic work. However even if Gunner has a limited mic ability he get himself over as an intense heel who is vicious, similar to what Randy Orton did in WWE as a face.

5.) Jesse Sorensen-When this guy comes back he will be super over with the fans. If, and this is a big if, TNA doesn't botch his return they could make this guy one of the biggest names in TNA History and possibly wrestling history. He could dominate TNA and elevate them to a whole new level because the fans will embrace him completely due to his previous injury and the world will embrace him because of that.

Batista won't go to TNA so it's pointless considering him. He would want too much money and has said several times that he would only consider WWE. His ego is too big to go to the "2nd biggest" company anyway. Plus, the door's been left open in WWE.

Also; The first quote from Meltzer sums up how Batista supposedly feels;

I wouldn't even consider Lesnar and Goldberg either. They used to poke fun of TNA for mentioning their names. They would also demand too much money that TNA just can't afford; and with WWE sending feelers to all 3 men, they'd definitely put more money towards re-hiring goldberg and lesnar than TNA would be willing to.

The following is in reference to TNA being his competition on Spike TV;

``That is no big deal. It just gives me more of a reason to beat the hell out of them even more.''

I'd say Goldberg would be the best shot of the two remaining, but even that would be highly unlikely. There was a little back and forth last year between him and crimson they could play off. Personally, they should aim for Chavo (his uncle is there), JoMo (although many believe he's going back to WWE when he recovers), Chris Masters (big guy that actually LOVES wrestling) and they should try and send feelers to Evan Bourne (he has a lot of friends in TNA and would definitely help them due to his WWE popularity). With Bourne there's less chance of being banned for synthetic marijuana use so it could prove more attractive.

Goldberg doesn't like TNA because they always lied about him and Lesnar coming there. They used to do those teases and ended up with terrible guys who it actually was. No problem with Scott Steiner, but he isn't that caliber.
