This is a thread to discuss who you think could help TNA if they were brought in. This of course, applying to Free Agent. I have a few in mind, please share your thoughts.

Batista -
Am I a fan? Absolutely not. The end of his career with the WWE was horrendous in my opinion, BUT, I still think he could be a decent draw. Batista is a guy who still has name recognition, that's NOT "washed up" like Hogan, Flair, etc. which I think could def benefit TNA. Because you have a big name, who could come in a put over the homegrown guys that they're pushing now, and also probably get TNA some more views also.

Last time I checked, Batista liked making money. Specifically lots of money.

On a more serious note. The philosophy that bringing in big name stars to help TNA has failed time and time again.

Hogan didn't work, Flair didn't work, Sting didn't work, RVD didn't work. And Jeff Hardy, who in 2009 was the biggest start in all pro wrestling didn't work.

Yet somehow you think more of the same failed tactics will work? Do you honestly believe that if you throw enough shit against the wall it'll stick?

Basically this. WWE might be crap in the eyes of some, but it's crap with a damn solid foundation and history. Creative might be crap, making crap decisions but as long as they keep on keeping on, their bank account guarantees them ongoing success. For a company (compared to WWE) in it's infancy, TNA is relying on the pillars of other buildings to stage a foundation. They were better off growing their own (and I don't mean RVD style)

This. People go on about WWE's creative team but they pushed Jeff Hardy to top. He goes to TNA and lost all of his hype pretty quickly. If you are going to spend stupid amounts of money on "big names," you should really have the writing staff to actually use everyone correctly.
