Games being turned into movies

I was searching around seeing what games are in talk to be made into a movie and saw that Devil May Cry was on that list. Now I will say that if done right it could one sick movie but chances are that like most movies based on games it will suck. So I wanted to know what is all your opinion. Do you like the idea of turning one of your favorite games into a movie? Are there any you want to see be made. Are thee any you wish they never did? Thoughts?

There should have never been a Mario Bros. Movie. Same with most Uwe Boll movies. The worst ones are the Street Fighter Movies, the anime was great and so was the game, but the movies were awful.

I'd think a Metal Gear Solid, Earthbound, Legend of Zelda, Mass Effect and Shadow of the Colossus would make great movies.

They never usually work because Hollywood has to fuck around and rape the source material too much. Yes, some of them are decent, but they never seem to be as good as they could be, or live up expectations really.

Mortal Kombat along with the Van Damme Street Fighter are entertaining, but most definitely fall into 'so bad, it's good!' territory

I still want to kill Uwe Boll for Bloodrayne. That movie sucked so bad that I can't even play the game anymore.
Devil May Cry could turn out good, but I really doubt it, simply because good video game adaptions are extremely rare

There making another Bloodrayne movie and a In the Name of the King equal, so I am afraid on the next license he gets his hands on
