Hogan's anouncements on Impact this week

I was really impressed with Impact this week (Especially Christie Hemme's outfit ). The most interesting bit though was Hogan's announcement that once a month they'll have "Open Fight Night". Will this turn into a genuine showcase for new talent or do people think we'll end up just seeing Matt Hardy, Low Ki and other former TNA talent for one night only?

I was also pleased to hear the TV title will be defended on TV every week. It's about time., but how long will Devon keep the strap? He looked strong against Gunner so I hope he gets a good run with it. What do you think?

A real champion with a real title belt.
"I swear to never again mention the man who is currently WWE champion until I am happy that change has come. I promise to buy PPVs when I can afford to, especially if 'he' isn't in the main event. I promise to show my support the the elements of WWE that I enjoy and together we will #ChangeWWE."

Although, I somehow think that Hogan didn't really come up with all this stuff. I love it! TV title defended all the time and a chance to meet new wrestlers every month. If it done right fight night could be like a mini ppv. PPL can will and will always continue to talk trash about tna. The xdivision tournament last year, the bound for glory series and now this. There is no denying they are doing some innovative stuff.

That's why I watch. Yeah there's a lot of bad but that's what fast forward is for! I'd love it if the fight nights had a ppv feel, it could be what helps TNA improve again.

Hahaha I didn't think Hogan would come up with something like this just cuz Its Hogan, but at the same time.. He is Hulk freakin Hogan, haha. Remember last year when he worked all the fans saying that Bobby Roode wasn't ready, and that he wouldn't take bumps at BFG? Then we got two great character developments after it with Roode and Storm. Hogan maybe a douche, but I'd like to give him credit for some of these ideas.
I also believe this fight night thing should be placed on the 10pm mark to grab some losing viewers.

This is just my two cents but I honestly think that before TNA/iMPACT! Wrestling goes to offering contracts to some of the Indie wrestlers, maybe they should cut some of their dead weight to make room on the roster/budget. They already have one helluva bloated roster as it is. Maybe cut guys like Rob Terry and Robbie E who aren't over with the fans and can't sell.

I'm digging the new "Open Fight Night" where people can call other people out, and even the belts can be defended. Also love the idea that the T.V. Title is now defended weekly. To me that's what it ALWAYS should have been. Plus Bischoff is gone now. Maybe TNA is listening to us now ehh?

You really think "Bischoff is gone"??? Not dissing you, man, but he's just off TV and that's about how far "gone" he is. If you need any proof, just look at the continued push of his son Garbage, er, Garrett (buried in SS7 if you'd care to click the link on my sig), something that most surely wouldn't continue if Eric actually hit the bricks. In fact, there'd probably be a few guys lining up to give the kid a few stiff shots as a little payback over him getting pushed w/o paying any dues.

By "gone" I was meaning off of T.V. As a 20 year fan of the professional wrestling business, I have a pretty good grasp of what is going on in terms of "kayfabe storylines". I agree 100% with what you said about Garrett. The kid has great sideburns but all the personality of a stump. I honestly think that the Bischoff name is always going to keep him down, even if he is by some chance able to improve on the mic and loosen up in the ring.

I'm really liking these new fresh ideas coming out of TNA. I truly hope they do well in the coming months because even though they aren't (and most likely never will be) "competition" for the WWE, they very well just might be enough to keep the mighty 'E on their toes.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
