I'm not 100% sure, but I think IF they did blade it was at these times:

Cena - Directly after the clothesline. I've watched it back a few times and I don't see any significant signs of blood before that. After he is put on the ground from the clothesline, it looks as though he's reaching in his wrist straps and then the camera cuts away. Next we see him bleeding.

Brock - After he gets hit with the chain covered fist. He goes on his back and brings both hands to his head. We can't see a good angle (probably intentionally) and then he's bleeding when he gets up. He also did a very common move of rubbing his hand across the wound as he was getting up. They would do that so it would show through even more.

NOW, I can't say they did blade for sure. BOTH has legitimate reasons to bleed. Cena was hit with some wicked elbows and Brock was hit was a chain. The WWE is known to bend they're own rules too. They could have told them they can do the blading, but they will fine them. Triple H and Undertaker were both fined (I believe) after using chair shots to the head at Wrestlemania 27.

All I can say is that it's awesome that we're even having this discussion. We're actually trying to figure out if it was legit or not. That's great. They need to keep that line blurred as long as they can. (I'm not asking for more blood, but more matches that sell a legit beating).

Go back and watch right after he was hit with the elbow. no blood. then they cut to lesnar and back to cena and you see his hand move to his head and then back to his sweatband. Figures pinched like he is holding a blade then he "readjusts" an already perfectly places sweat band.

They weren't blading, both cuts were hard way.

    Pics or it didn't happen!

Anyone here actually been 'busted open the hard way'? And not like the time I got a nosebleed from watching that terrible Michael J Fox/James Woods movie. You're much more inclined to bleed from your mouth or nose and if the aim is to bust the head open......then you're just as likely to knock them out in the process. That'd make for a great unscripted finish wouldn't it? I bet Vince wouldn't be furious over that So my bet is, although policy suggests they don't blade, Vince would be all for it.
    Picture me like this....

Ive wrestled for 10 years and did some MMA stuff in HS for a few years. Never busted open outside of the mouth and nose. Ive taken some hard shots too. Really one of the only places to bleed from a legit shot is around the eyes. not way past your hairline. You never see a soccer player bleed from the top of their head after a hard hit from a ball which has a smaller contact point than an elbow and yes it is more forgiving but a smaller contact point initiates bleeding.

Lesnar, possibly a blade, possibly a sharp edge on the chain prop. Cena, however, used an old technique I haven't seen in quite some time. Bladed either the night before or early in the day. If you notice, Brock used a raking motion with his elbows as opposed to a striking motion. He even rubbed his hand around the area to see if the cut was opened yet, noticed it wasn't, then raked him again. Once the wound was open and bleeding, the elbows stopped. He even checked and reopened the area when Cena was upside down.
