Jericho - What was the Point?

Jericho is just a decent guy. He doesn't need the wins.

Theres a video on youtube where he's doing a radio show and he said as a heel you only need to win something like 3 out of 10 matches to be legit. So I guess wwe knew he'd be happy with it and thought damn lets establish Punk then.

I think it's time so all of us can ask this question:

Jericho came back to CLAIM what he believes, was his. Everybody predicted him to WIN THE RUMBLE and fact is, he did not. He came after CM Punk, and became #1 contender for the WWE Championship, and go to Wrestlemania. At Wrestlemania he LOST CLEAN to the Champ CM Punk. Not only that, he TAPPED OUT. Then things got quite personal between him and Punk, and got himself another match for the championship, this time at EXTREME RULES. Jericho lost clean AGAIN, and it looks like he's pretty much OUT of the tittle shot, at least.


What now for Jericho? Did he come back just
to ESTABLISH CM Punk...as a the face of the WWE?

Jericho Came Back And Proved He Is The Best In The World At What He Does!!!....ENTERTAIN!!!!!! He Doesn't Need To Win To Put On A Great Match(WM And ER, And The Promo's He Brought) I Would Of Been Happy With Jericho Not Coming Back At All, Along With; Rock, Stone Cold, Shawn Micheals, Undertaker. They Have Gave Me Some Of The Best Matches Of There Life And Have Nothing To Prove To Us Fans, But To The Money That WWE Are Giving Them

The way the post was written almost makes me believe that the OP thinks wrestling is real. Not everyone's a Hogan where they're in it for themselves and fuck everybody else. Not everybody needs to win all the time. The guy can still wrestle(excellently in fact), cut promos, he has history with the company and can contribute to the product. I'm sure he wants to see the company continue to succeed and as such would want to do things to help, and that's when you have a guy who loves what he does and loves the company that he's worked for.

If only we all were in such a happy place with our employment.

Know who they're going to put back over with Jericho? R-Truth or The Miz... I just see that being much more likely to happen over Rhodes or Ziggler because there's a lot more obvious fodder there to work with.

The guy has lost all his ppv matches since he returned. I love the fact that he established Punk but I think he has weakened his overall image. His 3rd_coming started off so awesome with those vids it looked like he revamped his entire gimmick but in the end he said it was just to distract us from the truth. Anyways I hope he ends up winning a feud soon because I have been disappointed with this return. Yes it has produced good promos and matches but nothing that would be remembered.
