Fact Of The Day - Technically there are 46 states in the US of A. Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts are officially Commonwealths, they aren't given any special privileges but it's what they decided to be described by oficially after the end of the Civil War so they cant be counted as a state...technically....and since I'm feeling generous today I'll throw in another fact, Virginia was named after Queen Elizabeth I who was thought to have died a virgin (but I reckon she was a slut)...

While the American signed the form on that date you can't declare your independence until the people your trying to get away from agree to it. It took King George III seven years to OFICIALLY sign the peace agreement and independence. Is the definite Treaty Of Peace was used as Americans independence day, then that celebratory holiday would fall in the memory of September 3, 1783.
