Santino Marella

You know, it's a huge injustice what WWE is doing to Santino Marella. Don't get me wrong, I love his character but you know that he'll never be taken seriously in the grand scheme of things in WWE. He possesses the skills and athleticism to be a success, but to WWE he's just cannon fodder for the main guys and a foil for backstage antics.

I think Santino is worthy of his own show. Instead of putting effort into making crappy films, WWE should make a sitcom based around the antics of Santino. It could have guest starring roles by Jericho (who would be great AND someone who could do it without losing the respect of fans, plus we know he's naturally funny), The Big Show, Edge & Christian. In fact I think WWE is totally missing the boat here. It would be tv gold.

Sorry for the "f'n" part but the Cobra isn't at all funny, at least not anymore. You mentioned his own sitcom. Well, if not that, how about something along the lines of Pipers Pit? Just an opinion.

Good call. Except for the fact that the Piper's Pit idea was kinda ruined by all those weak knockoff versions. Some, like The Peep Show were ok, but at one stage it almost looked like everyone was going to get one.

The Web site also said that the show will air initially on wwe.com and then WWE will try and shop it to networks. Is it real? Is it fake, I don't know but I have heard nothing about it since it was brought up months ago. Rich I think your wrong on the cobra move of doom not being funny. Come on man, that is hilarious. I think Santino is one of the best parts of the WWE programming right now, sure he isn't going to win the championship belt any time soon but i don't think he is in the WWE to do just that. He is the comic relief, unless you consider the booking. Santino is awesome and the more I see him on tv the better.

I'm really not sure why they're intent on using him just as a comic foil for the guest hosts and such, as the guy has what it takes to be the best heel in the entire company. I'm not even exaggerating, either. His whole angle that involved talking shit about The Condemned on a weekly basis was absolute gold. Plus, he made something as silly as stealing Lawler's Subway sandwich one of my all-time favorite Raw moments.

you know the idea for a tv is actually a really good idea.

it would cost less than a movie and probably be wayyy better (WWE Films just suck)...if they did a sitcom with the same format as a show like Tyler Perry's House of Payne (personally i'm not a fan but no one can deny the success of that show) i'm sure it would do great numbers.

there would be alot of questions (such as what channel it would air, who would be in the rest of the cast, how much control the McMahons have over the show, etc etc etc) but i think its not a bad idea at all.
