It's way to soon to start predicting the winner of the Rumble. I read the report you read and I always laugh my ass off when I see Ryan paste this at the end :

Of course, plans are always changing in WWE so absolutely nothing is confirmed as of this writing.

Meaning this whole story is phony and meaningless.

Personally, I'd rather Orton not win. Never really been a fan of the same person winning the Rumble and Orton just won it 2 years ago.

I'd prefer a swerve at the rumble. Considering it's at the end of January, the most likely (and boring) scenario would have Undertaker come back then, win it and challenge Kane for the WHC. This IS NOT what I want to see though. Just for once it'd be nice to have the winner not someone unexpectedly come back from injury to win at 28, 29 or 30. That's been the theme the last few years.

If you're referring to the modern era, since 2001, every Rumble winner won the title at Wrestlemania. John Cena was the first one to break this cycle when he failed to win the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 24 after winning the 2008 Royal Rumble. Randy Orton would do the same after failing to win the WWE Championship at WM 25 followed by Edge failing to win the WHC at Wrestlemania 26.
