It's fantastic the brand new WWE TV Champion Tyson Kidd open the show to a loud chorus of boos as he gets into the ring and tells everybody to take a good, long, hard look because this TV Championship is going nowhere and he proved himself the best man on Superstars at SummerSlam and he'll do so again and again and again, every single time somebody new takes a step towards him.
Kidd says that he's the best on this show and he's the most underrated superstar in this company. (Amen, brother) Kidd says he didn't need DH Smith and he doesn't need anybody and says that he could take on the Best in the World Chris Jericho, and people would talk about the match for years. (That would awesome) Kidd says who knows? Maybe he's CM Punk's partner! (Ok...I don't think so buddy) Kidd says that's not true because he would never team up with a fake such as Punk. (

How dare you?) Kidd says that this is his show now and everybody better get used to hearing that!
Joe Hennig, the former WWE TV Champion makes his way down to the ring, interrupting Kidd as he says that he didn't mind losing the title, he understands what a good in-ring competitor Tyson Kidd is but what he did mind was Kidd's blatant show of disrespect after the match when he was attempting to be a humble loser but instead Kidd proved himself a sore winner. (So true)
Hennig says that the thing is, he's gonna win back that WWE TV Championship at Night of Champions because that's when he's using his rematch clause! (Another Superstars match on PPV??!!! Sweet!!!) Kidd goes to speak but Jon Moxley makes his way out and says that he still hasn't been pinned in a WWE TV Championship match and no disrespect to Hennig but he deserves the shot more because Hennig was the man pinned at SummerSlam! (Mhmm) Moxley says that he wants Tyson Kidd but he doesn't wanna wait until Night of Champions, he wants Tyson Kidd tonight! The fans go mad (as do I) before Superstars General Manager William Regal music hits and the Superstars' General Manager makes his way out and says that Moxley will wait for Night of Champions, as will Hennig because at Night of Champions, we will witness the return of a match not seen since Money in the Bank of last year as the Championship Scramble is coming back! (Damn, that will be fun)
Regal says that the WWE Intercontinental, United States and TV Championships will all be on the line in three different Championship Scrambles! (Wow, 3 Championship Scrambles. I really look forward to seeing who will step in the Scrambles) And as well as Kidd, Moxley and Hennig, tonight, we're gonna find out the other two superstars in the match!
Regal says there will be a battle royal involving Superstars wrestlers tonight and the last two will be added to the Championship Scramble but the match will continue until there is one man left. The winner will enter the Championship Scramble last! (A fantastic advantage) Regal says that he found Kidd a partner for a match right now, a tag match against Hennig and Moxley! He introduces.....Johnny Curtis who makes his way out for the opening match. (Haven't Curtis in forever....wonder if he'll pair well with Kidd)
This match nears its end as Kidd lays Moxley out with a Fisherman's Neckbreaker before he tags in Curtis who hits the top rope Leg Drop for the victory. After the match, Kidd celebrates as we head to backstage where Superstars General Manger Regal is shown on the phone and says that he will make the announcement later tonight. (Wonder what it could be)
Great to see the momentum strong in Kidd after his win SummerSlam, he needs this to look strong as the new WWE TV Champion.
LayCool's Layla faces Tamina, who goes up top for the Superfly Splash but Layla jumps up and hits a top rope Hurricarana quickly covering Tamina to get the victory. After the match, Layla celebrates as McCool joins her in the ring to celebrate together as Tamina walks away up the ramp.
A great little Divas match. Nice job.
We go backstage where Woods is shown in the locker room alone and Lethal walks onto shot and calls him Creed (Hmmm.....). Lethal wishes Woods luck tonight in the battle royal as Woods tells Lethal that he'll see him out there. Lethal walks away as Woods watches him leave.
Old friends meet up backstage but a chance to be in the WWE TV Championship on the line friends are indeed enemies and we'll see them action a little later on, can't wait.
The Kings of Wrestling's and Edge of Honor's Hero is in action up next against Mahal, who gets laid out with the Cyclone Kill by Hero for the victory. After the match, Hero and Castagnoli celebrate in the ring but The Southern Connection head out to the stage and have a staredown with the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Kings of Wrestling in the ring.
Look like they feel they should have another shot at the gold let's see if they can earn one soon.
Woods, Rotundo, Hawkins, O'Neil, Curtis, Sandow, Camacho, Steamboat, Baretta, Sheffield and Lethal now face off in this battle royal knowing that if they reach the final two, they'll be a part of the Championship Scramble match at Night of Champions and here we go.
11 Man Battle Royal
Eliminations:
1: Curtis by Sheffield.
Elimination: Sheffield picks Curtis up over his head and body presses him to the floor.
2: Camacho by Hawkins and Rotundo.
Elimination: Camacho attacks Hawkins but Hawkins turns the tables with the help of Rotundo and they eliminate him together.
3: Steamboat by Sheffield.
Elimination: A huge clothesline by Sheffield eliminates Steamboat.
4: Sheffield by Lethal and Woods.
Elimination: Sheffield is attacking Lethal but Woods helps him out and the two of them work together to get rid of the big man.
5: O'Neil by Sandow.
Elimination: A big boot by Sandow is enough to knock O'Neil over the ropes to the floor below.
6: Baretta by Sandow.
Elimination: Baretta goes for the Dudebuster DDT but Sandow pushes him over the top rope mid-move to eliminate him.
7: Hawkins by Sandow.
Elimination: Sandow completes a quick fire triple elimination by throwing Hawkins out of the ring.
-
The Final 4 are Sandow (who has been a beast in this match), Lethal, Woods (who've worked well separately and together) and Rotundo (the wildcard in this); Let's see who wants that shot at the gold more.
8: Rotundo by Lethal.
Elimination: Rotundo hits Sandow with a Spear but turns around into a dropkick from Woods that takes him to the apron. Lethal follows up with his own dropkick to eliminate Rotundo.
9: Lethal by Woods.
Elimination: As Lethal pumps himself up, Woods grabs him and throws him over to ensure Championship Scramble spots for both himself and Damien Sandow. (Wow.....did not see that coming)
This could not have been more perfect for Woods, who I'm sure has been itching to get a chance to face Sandow, let's see if he can capitalize.
Final Elimination: Sandow grabs Woods and hits an Idolizer (Snap swinging neckbreaker) before picking Woods up and throws him over the top rope to win the battle royal and the final spot into the WWE TV Championship Scramble.
Incredible showing from Sandow who gets the best possible advantage and could use it to come Night of Champions become the new WWE TV Champion.
After the match, Damien Sandow begins to celebrate but Superstars General Manager William Regal makes his way out to the ring and surprisingly congratulates Sandow on his victory but says that he is out here to make a sombre announcement. He says that due to various reasons, this will be the final episode of Superstars. Each man on the roster will have a meeting with Vince McMahon and the other executives to discuss their future on the WWE roster. (NOOO!!!!!!!!!!!)
Regal says that this has been one hell of a journey and the fact remains that this show has created great WWE superstars including the current Tag Team Champions, The Kings of Wrestling who made their WWE debuts on this show, Tyler Black made his debut on this show as well as Alberto Del Rio, the current WWE United States Champion, who turned his career around on this show. Regal says that this is not the end of the current Superstars. (What a list of turn arounds and debuts this show has produced, I will truly miss this show)
Men like Joe Hennig, Jon Moxley, Tyson Kidd. These men are the future of the WWE (Indeed they are) and says that he couldn't do everything without saying: ''Thank you'' to the guys in the back, thank you to the directors who gave him the chance on this show and thank you to the fans, because they made Superstars so much better. (T_____T)
Regal drops the mic and begins to clap but Sandow grabs Regal and hits an Idolizer! The boos ring out as Sandow picks up the mic and says ''You're Welcome''.

What the fuck? Sandow just made damn sure the end of Superstars would revolve around him and I gotta say....genius!!! That's exactly what you need to do to get over in this business, stand out!!! Sandow did just that. This was (sadly) the final Highlight of Night for Superstars!!!
Overall, I'm saddened to see this place go but man did it have a wild ride. From everything to the debut of the WWE TV Championship, to the debut of such stars like Tyler Black, Jay Lethal, The Kings of Wrestling among many others and to help rebuild the careers of guys like Clay and Del Rio as well as provided some much needed light on stars like Mahal, Hennig and now recently Kidd; this show has been a mecha for change. I couldn't be prouder of the accomplishment made here in Superstars and know that whatever may happen to certain WWE Superstars, Superstars itself ended with a bang. Here's to the future and whatever it may bring.
Outstanding work.
