I think a 'Like' button or 'Thumbs Up' button would be cool, but as akbar said, a 'Dislike' button would result in trolling as Steve demonstrated.

I think more emoticons would be great, but I wouldn't really like a like or dislike. I think a dislike button would just make people mad, as a like button would if they didn't get any likes while the person under them got 100

I think a reputation system could do wonders for the forum. Positive Rep and Negative Rep. I would enjoy it.

You could even have it be anonymous of who it came from if it makes things better, but I think a reputation system would be a great addition to the forums.

I've seen other forums utilize that. I'm 50/50 on it though. On one hand, yes, you can have it anonymous as to who gave you the rep (good or bad), but on the other, people might get butthurt if they have a bad rep, and leave the forum.

I can see that.

But it could also draw people to the forums, and even encourage people to make less "spam like" posts on certain threads. I think it would be great to have though.

I don't know if this is already been brought but adding more emoticons or smiley to this site would be nice. Having the ones similar to Blackberry messenger would make communication better and more fun I reckon especially for the forum section.

Negative and positive responses are cool - it's nice to see what you're doing right and wrong.

The issue I have found is it can (oddly) lead to arguments when someone get's neg-repped, because the internet is serious business.

I will say, I have been involved in these arguments before myself, and looking back...It was fucking stupid.
