These things are all to do with context, I'm sure Tensai and Sakamoto planned that Tout amongst themselves, obviously Sakamoto was okay with it.
That joke would have been fine (if still not that funny...) in private amongst two friends who knew it wasn't serious, but not in a public broadcast, representing the WWE, which is what happened.
Lawler made a similar joke during his match about "Sum Ting Wong" which was just as bad..
PC gets bandied about and misused like it's something bad. It's just like any other made up ideal, like democracy or equality, sometimes it gets misused or misunderstood, but they make all of our lives better.
PC just means I'm not going to discriminate against people who are different to me, because of how they are different to me.
Now I'm Irish, if my friends want to call me a dumb mick, in that context I'm prob ok with it.
If a stranger says it, or a company calls Irish people, potato eating micks... we've a problem. And that's what PC should be.
Joker Sting will stay, as he should, it'd be like removing all Joker from Batman history in case someone looked up to him again, that's an entirely different thing from PC though.
That IS being over sensitive and going after the wrong target, like how easy it seems mentally ill people in the US can still get their hands on guns... but that's a whole different thing.
I hate over sensitive, but the Tensai and AW stuff is sensible, not sensitive.
