I think if they actually put work into it instead of trying to make it a knockoff Angle gimmick the All American American gimmick could work, the stuff with the eagle wasn't bad, but it didn't really go anywhere worthwhile.

I would love it if he came out as this serious asshole heel, just running down every other country,
or maybe have him in vignettes showing off how he has such an American home that even his pajamas and sheets are American flags, just make it totally ridiculous, like have him run around trying to marry the Constitution and the like.

I actually don't like the way hes comes down the aisle...drop down and pushups I don't mind so much, but then he gets real angry and yelling and does the "step over the line" thing, and I just don't find him as a believable angry (scary) guy. I think he needs to have more of an attitude, something along the lines of a Damian Sandow but not so snooty, an "I'm better than you" but in a more subdued cocky way and not so "I'm gonna kick your ass" way. I don't believe he can kick ass, but I do believe he can outwrestle anyone. So that should be his gig. And while I like his theme song, I actually think it doesn't fit him. Or at least it doesn't fit the all american character. That's a badass song. He's not a badass, he's a wrestler.

Since Tensai stole the All-American Asian gimmick I have no idea.

I think they radically need to repackage him. Throw a mask on him or have him train under Regal on screen and have him think he's all British or some shit. The All-American Brit. Regardless, if he doesn't do something he will be losing dark matches before NXT.

DUBS, you and I seem to be on the same page with a lot of things. I think his granting his first wish should be something WWE should really play up and have that be the hinge swinging him to face. I think for a while now they've used him like a Kurt Angle, making his American pride come across as heelish. I think they need to go more the way of Hacksaw and get people on his side. Now, if you'll excuse me our savior, Sandow, is on tv and I must pay attention to him.

A face turn could be interesting. I can't think of too many gimmicks that would go well with him. But I could definitely see him being cheered by the crowd.

I would love to see a swagger face turn. I think he could carry that better than a heel. But if he remains heel, give him a mean streak. No more push ups or crossing the line or victory laps. Could work like this: he's fed up to losing to people he's better than. His focus on entertaining the crowd while achieving what he needs to isn't working for him. He's a submission machine and now he's a pissed off one at that. He goes out and continues to put on great matches but being way more aggressive. He finally learns to grapevine the leg while doing an ankle lock making it damn near irreversible. Have him break someone's leg for extra heat and momentum. I think with this he could be back in the main event scene within a year.
