    Raw 1000: The Aftermath Thread

Coming off of the massive, and largely entertaining show...some former wrestlers you would have wanted to see were missing.
For me, I can't believe, and have no clue as to why Stone Cold Steve Austin didn't show up.
There were a few surprises, such as Bradshaw and Ron 'Farooq' Simmons as the APA (I stopped reading spoilers yesterday), Undertaker with Kane (I didn't expect such a low capacity of use for him), as well as Billy Gunn with (from what I've seen, he couldn't get into WWE any longer). I do feel some were left out (some were covered in video montages, such as the deceased Randy 'Macho Man' Savage R.i>p> (and nice touch))...
Who did you expect, but ended up not getting?

    Raw 100: The Aftermath Thread

I thought it was a pretty good 1000th Raw with a lot of great moments. But there is no Monday Night Raw without Stone Cold Steve Austin. The punk heel turn would have been a perfect time to hear the glass shatter. I mean i marked out when Punk GTS's the Rock but I feel they should have steered the Rock more towards Cena earlier in Raw so Punk and Austin could have kicked off the best fued in PG history. I also think Wade Barrett should have taken big show's spot in that last segment.

Thoughts on Austin and when he should come back and the Raw main event?

I assume he has a movie being shot and had no way of getting there or something. Seems like the only logical explanation to me. Main Event was alright. When Show came out I went with the all here we go. The super predictable route. But they spun it on us and the ending made me happy.

Punk was so over as a face though that he has to come out firing next week. Calling people out, saying how great he is and everything. Or it will be hard to become the great heel again that he was.

Idk, but I kept waiting for him to come out and stun punk. Then raw goes off the air and I'm dumbfounded. WTF? No scsa? How can he not be there? He is the the main reason raw had 1000 shows.

It was an amazing moment to see a heel turn by Punk. I believe that he will elevate his character and the championship to a whole different level. Next week, we might see a whole different side of Punk with a new WWE title. At Summerslam, we will see Punk taking on Cena for the belt and probably a wrestling match between the Rock and Big Show.

I read on bleacherreport.com that SCSA might have issues with film the date because he was still filming Grown Ups 2. Raw sucked btw.

One really bad element of Raw I will point out was all the damn advertising. Listening to Cole promote a new social media site makes me want to throw my remote through the TV.

I'm calling it now though...Punk comes out to lay the first Pipebomb of the next thousand episodes and the segment ends with Austin coming out to put Punk in his place. God that would really save the lack luster RAW that seemed to drag on

Raw 1000 - what would you have done?

Well the most enjoyable part of Raw for me was full DX reunion (chyna doesn't count) and CM Punk at the end.

Now there's a few things I would have done (shoot me down if you will) I would have had the New age outlaws vrs the tag champs nice match bout 10 min and putting tag champs over.

I thought cm punk should have made a move on rock in the Daniel Brian segment.

During undertaker/Kane part Paul barer should have come out to ooohhhh yeess. Taker turns on Kane for treating Paul like he did months ago. Setting something up for Summerslam.

With rock being pissed at cm punk he comes out to help Cena but SCSA comes out to save punk saying he wants to face cm punk at royal rumble (pick ppv of ur choice) setting up a possible rock v SCSA at Summerslam to decide opponent v cm punk (or wwe champ at rr or wm) SCSA wins setting up the feud we all want!

    Just my opinion

    thoughts?

    1000th raw closing thoughts

How do you feel about the show? Favorite moment? Do you think Taker will stick around? Feelings on Punks heel turn? How long until people start saying they turned Punk heel to face Stone Cold?

    1. I enjoyed it, first time I can say that in awhile.
    2. I lmao'd with Mae youngs hand, I liked Punks heel turn but it could of been better. But I'm a huge Taker mark so his return was my favorite even though I thought Kane was to turn on him.
    3. Idk who he will feud with but I can see him and Kane vs Punk and Big Show.
    4. I like it as long as he don't look weak wwe doesn't have the major heel. I hope that him and show get a stable add a Seth Rollins, or a Joe henning, or someone else.
    5. I think Austin is happily retired and doesn't plan on coming back but I hope I'm wrong.

What do you think let me know

Couldn't agree more. I was happy with the show minus anything AJ. But no Austin on the biggest RAW in history is inexcusable. Biggest blue balls moment in the past decade (at least).
