Exactly! Boybands are a flavour of the month kind of deal. Have a couple of songs make a few teenage girls panties wet, never heard from again. The Beatles are immortal, catergorising them with boybands is fucking BLASPHEMY!!!

As for the boyband thing, yeah I'm sure the likes of Backstreet Boys, Boyzone, Westlife et al are all going to be remembered in 50 years and their music will go down as genre defining and changing.
