Pyros hit and the fireworks go off! Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole introduce you to the aftermath of Night of Champions! CM Punk's music hits. CM Punk and Cena stare off as we head to a commercial break.
Back from commercial break and Alex Riley's music hits! He runs down the ramp and picks up a mic. He says that he is officially the Intercontinental Champion! He says that Booker T saw something in him, and that was talent. He says that along with two other men, Evan Bourne and Zack Ryder, they were inserted into the match. Riley says that he showed that he can..Jack Swagger's music hits and he interrupts. He says that the Intercontinental Championship belt means nothing now. He says that all the prestige has been flushed in the toilet, because it has entered the hands of nobodies such as Riley himself and Christian. Swagger says that he came out here cause he wants a shot at that belt. Swagger says that he will add so much prestige to the Intercontinental title, that it will be more prestigious than the WWE title. Evan Bourne's music hits. Bourne congratulates Riley on his big one. He says that Jack Swagger needs to shut the hell up. Bourne says that Swagger is an irritating freak, who's career went downhill after losing the World Heavyweight Championship! Bourne says that he has never had a chance at any belt in the WWE, and he says that he would like a chance against Riley, cause he knows that Riley will be a fair competitor. Alex Riley says that..Zack Ryder's music hits. He laughs as he comes out with a mic. He asks the crowd if they want Zack Ryder competing against Alex Riley?! The crowd chant yes! Ryder says Woo Woo Woo You Know It! Ryder says that Riley and Bourne are both his Broskis! Swagger is another hoeski! Ryder says that he has held the US Championship one time! He says that he wants an opportunity at the Intercontinental Championship bro! AJ's music hits as she stands on the ramp. AJ says that up next, will be Alex Riley vs Evan Bourne. She says that if Evan wins, then he will receive a title shot at Hell in a Cell. She says that later tonight, it will be Jack Swagger vs Santino Marella. She says that the winner of that match will also go onto Hell in a Cell to face Alex Riley. She smiles as she leaves and totally ignores Zack Ryder. Riley looks at Bourne as Bourne does the same, we head to a commercial break.
Back from commercial break as Evan Bourne and Alex Riley are in the ring ready for the match and it goes underway!
Match 1. Evan Bourne vs Alex Riley - If Bourne wins, then he recieves a title shot at Hell in a Cell
Finish: Evan Bourne goes for the Air Bourne but Alex Riley moves out of the way. Bourne slowly gets up and Riley hits him with the Riley Elevation! He goes for the cover and gets the pinfall!
Winner: Alex Riley
After the match, Riley helps Bourne up and they shake hands as we head to a commercial break.
We're back from commercial break, and Heath Slater's music hits as he makes his way to the ring with a guitar. He plays a tune as we slides into the ring. He laughs and says that he is the One Man Band baby! He says that since he is the best wrestler in WWE! He challenges any wrestler out there in the back! He says that it can even be a tag team, or even a legend! He says that he doesn't care, he is gonna face anyone! The lights go out and The Uso Brothers music hit and they make there way to the ring as new champions.
Match 2. Heath Slater vs Uso Brothers
Finish: Jey Uso hits Slater with a Dropkick, and Jimmy hits a Superfly Splash for the pinfall!
Winner: Uso Brothers
After the match, The Uso Brothers celebrate but Curt Hawkins attacks them from behind! Heath Slater joins in the beatdown as well as he laughs. Jey Uso slowly gets up as Heath hits him with his guitar. Slater and Hawkins stand tall in the ring as we head to commercial.
Back from commercial break and Michael McGuillicutty's music hits! He makes his way to the ring as the crowd boo. He says that it is time. He says that if many people didn't know, he is the son of the all time legend, Mr. Perfect A.K.A Curt Hennig. He says that he came to WWE and he wanted to carry on a legacy, he says that he didn't want to make his own, he wanted to step in the shoes of his father. He says that he has only come out here for one thing, and that is to change his name. He says that he isn't called Michael McGuilitcutty anymore, he is now called Joe Hennig. TedDiBiase's music hits as the crowd pop for his return. He says that he has something in common with Biase, he says that Biase himself is a second generation wrestler. He says that Hennig, is a third generation wrestler. He says that his dad, and Hennig's dad didn't win world titles. Biase says that he has been lost in the shuffle lately, he says that he wants to team up with Joe Hennig, and carry on two legacies at the same time. TedDiBiase offers his hand as Hennig shakes on it. Hennig says that he agrees with Biase, they should team up. They are both fortunate sons. He says that they will go onto win world titles one day! He says that if it wasn't for Mr. Perfect, he wouldn't have been a wrestler. If it wasn't for TedDiBiase, Biase JR wouldn't be a wrestler. He says that they are both fortunate, so the team is officially..The Fortunate Sons. They shake hands and raise each others hands. AJ's music hits and she says that she likes the idea of The Fortunate Sons, she says that later tonight they will face Kofi Kingston and R-Truth
CM Punk is joined with Todd Grisham as he asks who are the partners of CM Punk? Punk says that he is the best in the world, nobody has been giving him respect because they are jealous. He says that tonight, his tag partners are two people that respect him. He says that he has known them for a long time, and Cena will find out later tonight as we head to a commercial break.
Back from commercial break and Jack Swagger's music hits. He walks down the ramp ready for the match. Santino Marella's music hits and he does the same. He runs down the ramp and picks up a mic. He says that he is finished with the Cobra. He says that he is..Jack Swagger attacks him as the bell rings for the match to begin.
Match 2. Jack Swagger vs Santino Marella - Winner gets a Intercontinental Championship title shot
Finish: Santino and Swagger go back and forth. Marella looks more stronger as he looks more serious in the ring. He hits a Clothesline but Swagger ducks and escapes the ring. Santino does the same and chases him. The ref counts to 9 and Swagger runs back into the ring. Santino is counted out.
Winner: Jack Swagger (Via Count Out)
After the match, Santino goes to attack, but Swagger hits him with a Gutwrench Powerbomb and smirks as we head to a commercial break.
