Is Randy Orton Underrated?

Orton's biggest asset (currently) is his face. Personally, I'm bored by Randy but the ladies love him and they're probably the one's cheering for him at the shows.

Not too long ago I heard the crowd chant something that I thought was exclusive to John Cena.

Females: Lets go Randy!

Males: Randy sucks!

Randy's not had a world title match in a year but Big Show gets 4? WWE: Lets push Big Show because EVERYONE finds him interesting and it's not like he made summerslam SS and RR world title matches boring as hell.

I was thinking today about my top five favorite wrestlers to watch in the wwe... it's hard not to put him on that list... haters are going to hate but IMO orton is always overlooked because he isn't a super face nor a super heel anymore.

imo his new gimmick sucks he shuda sticked with the legend killer one,that gimmick was awesome and entretaining

The Legend Killer gimmick was never going to last longer than it did. You're eventually going to run out of legends (that mean anything) for him to face, and at some point, Orton's going to become a legend himself.
That gimmick IMO was perfect for a young star in order to establish him, but going back to that gimmick isn't really an option FOR Orton. You could have a new star adopting the gimmick and then having Orton face him, putting him over at the end of it.

people keep giving him shit about how he's boring, stale, etc. that may be true on some point but he keeps giving us quality matches. imo the reasom why he's "boring" to a lot of people is because he keeps on getting involved with random people and storylines. no meaningful ones, just plain random storylines.

The reason i find him boring is his boring, monotone, robotic Randy Orton voice.

Look another thread about someone being under rated with another bunch of comments that say "he was better as a heel, he was better with this gimmick, you know when he was heel" ... get over it Orton isn't bad on the mic, not great but not bad, they don't give him an exceptionally dynamic character, and i'm not sure if it's because he can't do better or a creative decision his in ring stuff has been and continues to be some of the best in the world clean, fast, smooth, and backed by excellent ring story telling. i think he's given credit by some, but underestimated by a few ( the wwe doesn't they keep him near the title hunt for a reason). As for his character being "Stale" i chalk comments like that up to "what should happen in wrestling is....."

week 2 internet explodes at how awesome it is, crowd gets behind faces
week 3 faces continue to act like faces, heels continue to do most of the more cerebral ring work
week 4 faces begin to get support from someone OTHER than the iwc
week 5 Faces accused of being stale, heels should get a face turn and aren't given credit, Robstar posts something about Vicky being hot
week 6 IWC explains how their fav show that they watch religiously is horrible and ruin the guy who they hate now but used to love "you know back when he was good , back when he was a heel"
week 7 threads bashing top face dominate, rumors of heel turns for all the faces proliferate
week 8 see week 1
