I must be the only person here to whom the return of The Walking Dead means nothing.

No, I am with ya Rob. I am going to get into it on Netflix when I have the time, but it's one of those shows like Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, or Person of Interest that I just can't get into yet, nor can I read comments about the show because everyone likes to give their opinion on the shows which usually results in spoilers for people who haven't followed it. But I understand since these shows are past their initial two seasons; I just choose to avoid conversations about them.

The first couple of episodes were great! Then the rest of season 1 draaaaaaaaagged. Season 2 was proper shite, not even worth mentioning. The start to season 3 has been brilliant though. So as a series, for me it's been hit and miss. Eclipsed massively by all those feels of the vastly superior video game adaptation.

What's particularly hilarious/bizarre about The Walking Dead fandom is that there isn't even a direct correlation between their enthusiasm and the actual quality of the show. One week they'll get served up a piping hot bowl of shit, and the next week they'll still all be lined up with their spoons in hand, dumb smiles plastered across their faces.

Welp, The Walking Dead is back to shambling along like, well, you know. For that long of a break, the show really needed to come back firing on all cylinders, and that most definitely didn't happen.
