Random thought: The more I think about it, 24 was pretty crap in retrospect. It started off pretty exciting, but I reckon it ran at least three seasons too long at the end of the day.

^ Mix that with a main character that's basically every Chuck Norris joke ever, screeds of techno-jargon, and garnish with a healthy portion of "USA! USA! USA! USA!" patriotism. Roll those all together into a weekly episodic format with an "every episode is an hour!" gimmick, and you have 24 in a nutshell.

All those things are both the show's weaknesses AND strengths, by the way.

Ok, now I'm pretty sure this will be a close run for the unpopular opinions thread, but I've really changed my tune about Scrubs. That show, in retrospect, is about bullies and people who allow themselves to be bullied. Seriously, it's depressing!

Ye blud. Watched the first season as a new-teen rapscallion. Then left it for ages, and I've never felt inclined to get into it, and I don't think I ever will.(?) How funny is it, though, that in his new show - Touchy-touchiness - his last name is Bohm? Cracks me up!


Just watched Louis Theroux's two most recent documentaries, titled Extreme Love: Autism (the first part), and, Dementia (second part). As always, a very interesting look at two serious issues, certainly emotional and moving, but, with some absolutely geniuine, natural humour from the interactions between Louis and some of the people he meets, which makes it a highly engaging set of two 1hour long shows.

I'm pretty sure that there are only, like, 2 or 3 people here who watch Community, but I just had to share how balls-out and awesome tonight's episode was. Close to 90% of it was done in the style of a 16-bit video-game, and the writing was some of the most clever to be seen on any single episode of television so far this year. Really, really good stuff.

I just re-read through, near enough, this whole thread again! Emotional. Where I first started to get more into the idea of posting at this forum. Built up my posting confidence etc, blah blah. LOL.

I'm pretty sure that there are only, like, 2 or 3 people here who watch Community, but I just had to share how balls-out and awesome tonight's episode was. Strangely enough, I actually asked, and you let me know a bit about Community a while back in here, Apeman. Hahaha. I think that might be the comedy for me to get to start now, along with Veep, which I still need to see, now that Eastbound & Down went out of my life, and The Office ended as a sad joke that people don't seem to be laughing AT. I've grew to really dislike alot of the characters in that show over the last season, like, really alot.

The Ricky Gervais show is back, even though I've heard most of the stuff from the podcasts it's still hillarious for me.

I won't get to watch the 3 episode season finale until I get home on Monday(stuck at work till then), but i must say, I am excited to watch them. That and I am super glad the show was renewed
