Well, technically it was cancelled by ABC. It just got a second chance at life on TBS.
But why on earth should it have been cancelled altogether? Please don't tell me you think others should be deprived of something just because said thing doesn't appeal to you. That's silly.
I've watched the show a few times, and never really got into it. My logic for it being cancelled though, isn't to deprive others of something they enjoy. I look at it this way. I like courtney cox as an actor. Loved her on friends, and her brief stint on scrubs, but on cougar town she just seems blah. I am also a fan of the creator, bill lawrence, with his previous work(scrubs). Now I know lawrence has stepped away as the show runner so hopefully in 2013-2014 we get something good from him, and my logic with cougar town being cancelled is it frees courtney cox up for a better role. Look at matthew perry. He had the show mr sunshine last year on abc. I loved that show but it was cancelled. Thankfully, perry now has a chance at another tv series, Go On, which from the trailer looks extremely good.
