There's just so many other shows I have to catch up on, but Shield just entered my list.

You should put it at the tippy-top. It's the most compulsively watchable tough guy yarn ever. And dat ending. Oh, dat ending.

It's behind The Wire and Sopranos, nearly finished season 1 of Wire today actually so progress is fast. Lol

Sopranos is a great show- one of my all-time favorites, actually- but you'd be better off watching The Shield first. It's riveting much in the same way that Breaking Bad is. The story constantly twists and turns in directions that you won't see coming, plus Vic Mackey and the rest of The Strike Team have a knack for digging themselves into the most spectacular holes ever dug, I swear. They just dig and dig and dig as the series progresses, and it's an absolute blast watching them find new ways to cover themselves in dirt.

Also, quite possibly the most underrated ensemble ever.

Aite, some of the YouTube clips of Shield looks quite kool, you've convinced me to put it above Sopranos.

Good choice, Akbro. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. It's just one of those rare shows that starts really good but somehow finds ways to just get better and better as it goes. Your mind will be blown several times over.

The first reason why I started watching BB was for its cinematography.

    The second was acting.

So what new show this fall on CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, and CW are people most looking forward to?

  10. #1610
I've got to be honest: This season's slate of new offerings is pretty abysmal. As a matter of fact, the only show that I'm really anticipating now is Last Resort on ABC, and that's because it stars Andre Braugher (a god among actors) and was created by Shawn Ryan (creator of, like, my favorite show ever, The Shield).

FOX's serial killer show with Kevin Bacon might have promise, too, but part of me is afraid that it will just end up being well-done but formulaic drivel in the same vein as House or, even worse, sloppily-written garbage like the last couple of seasons of the once-great Dexter.
