I watched the first season of HBO series The Wire and it was actually pretty engrossing. I was kind of surprised since I am not really that much of a police drama person. Does anybody recommend watching the other seasons or is it essentially more of the same? Is season one the best or does it get better?

YES MAN!! Watch all seasons!! It goes to so many places in drama, and in many different settings of society. It takes you into political, educational, justice systems, etc, and the corruption and troubles, the in's and out's, in every one. The struggles of family living, rich and poor, wherever they have to, or choose to, make it through. I'm not very good at getting into great descriptions of things (the Iron one will save_us), and as I said on the last page to Kash - anything I try to say about it will never do it justice.

It's not just another cop show, it's got so much meat on the bones! For me it is the best series I've ever watched. Be it drama, police drama, or whatever.

Watched the second episode after missing the first, loved it, now on my DVR.

Also reccommend Wilfred. Comes on FX and basically about Elijah Wood being crazy and starts talking to a dog that he sees as a 6 foot tall Australian guy in a dog suit.

Onto the second series of The Sopranos, never watched it the 1st time but after watching Boardwalk Empire, I thought I would give it ago.

Who's excited for the best on the USA network tomorrow night...Burn Notice! I can't wait, best series out there. Followed by the new and potential suits, those two shows make Thursday nights excitable.

Summer Heights High had only one season yes, but it grew out of We Can Be Heroes which had the character Ja'mie in it plus some more Chris Lilley gems. He's got a new HBO funded series about to come out called Angry Boys, so watch out for that.

Angry Boys finally started over here Rob (if you're still hanging about). And I can safely say, Angry Boys. Is. Fucking. Hilarious!!!! It's the best show on my TV right now, any genre!!!! Sooooo funny! "NATHAN!!!!.....NATHAN, NATHAN!!!!.....NATHAN YOU FAG!!!!!". And S(dot)Mouse(exclamation mark), hahahaha, and LeSkweesha, hahaha laughing right now thinking about the last episode! We're up to episode 7, S.Mouse! does a gig at a school, to young, young kids, and comes on stage "what's up motherfuckkkerssss!!!" lol. Then sings a song about warning them about paedophiles, oh lordy! It was brilliant!

Chris Lilley is my hero! I love him!

The British version of Kitchen Nightmares is a fantastic show. It has a sincerity that's sorely missing from its excruciatingly over-edited and horribly staged American counterpart. Like, you can tell that Gordon is genuinely interested in seeing the people that he's helping succeed. With the American show, his sole focus seems to be pushing people over the edge for the sake of melodrama. I must say, though, that I'm not really sure he's in a position to be telling anyone how to run a restaurant anymore as his own restaurant business is crumbling down around him. I think he might be well served to dial back on the ridiculous screaming-Brit shtick that he does for FOX and focus on getting himself back in the kitchen.

The less said about the joke that is Hell's Kitchen, the better. Just an awful, awful, awful show.
