Kind of like the 4-horsman of old? I like that.

In all seriousness what I'd like to see is the Shield be unbiased and cost Punk the belt at the RR. I know they are a heel group but if they were to start attacking heels along with faces it would give them something fresh kind of. It would be different than the Nexus, of which I currently associate them with

I think having a match like that at maina would be a step down for punk, just imo

They should be in a 6 man match against 3 top faces with the stipulation being that if they lose they must disband. The Shield MUST win this match. I could also see them gaining a member or two before then. Maybe Brad Maddox and Kassius Ohno. I think Ohno in particular would suit this stable and could use them as a way to get on the main roster. I didn't realise he was 33 so he should get the call sooner or later.

.....& then it all became so clear. The Shield + C.M. Punk + Paul Heyman = 4 Horsemen-esque heel faction!!!! Even if you wanted to throw Brad Maddox in the mix so it's not exactly configured like The Horsemen, this idea could work.

Punk can be the leader...the Ric Flair, if you will....& Paul Heyman is the J.J. Dillion mastermind behind it all. Just like Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard & insert 4th member (Ole Anderson, Lex Luger, Barry Windham, ect.), Ambrose, Rollins, Maddox & Reigns can be viable contenders for the U.S., Tag, & IC titles.

If you ever wanted to break someone away from the faction (or add a member, for that matter), there would be a myriad of ways to do so. I would love to see a long-term (maybe 2 years??) run with this faction, which gives Ambrose, Rollins, Maddox & Reigns time to earn their main roster dues, develop their characters fully & totally acclimate themselves with the WWE Universe. Can you imagine after a long, successful run, then a tumultuous break-up, the great matches we could get between all of these guys. Whoever is not salivating at the thought of the eventual Punk v. Rollins feud is definitely on the wrong website.

If done properly, this could be the best faction since Evolution. BTW, how'd those new guys in Evolution end up turning out?? Not bad, I would say...

At least you guys are referring to the 4 Horsemen. Some people around here are so wet behind the ears, it's all "Nexus this" and "Nexus that" like they're the only faction ever seen in wrestling. They aren't even a blip on the radar. It saddens me that people have the attitude where they can't even think of classic stables of old.

But anyway, how about this - no "new Horsemen", no "new Nexus", no "new nWo" - can it just be the "original" Shield?

Hey, what's the deal with Ambrose's hair anyway? Is that a comb over happening?

I don't really like the idea of adding any new talent to the Shield (I don't want NXT to lose anymore guys), but I could see Rollins turning face at Mania in a disbandment match to cost the shield and feud with Ambrose. I always though Rollins was better as a face and right now the roster is a bit heel heavy

100% agree with that but since it's WWE, this won't probably happen unfortunately. My definition of a real heel stable is that they should take out whoever they want, faces or heels. In the WWE, stables actions are so predictable, that most of them are boring after a few weeks. TNA are doing better with Aces & 8's who attacks whoever they want, face or heel. Actually The Shield is no more than another Nexus.

And running from them too - even if it's just one person. #BikerGang. As far as I remember, and I've missed some of the shows, the only heel they attacked was Roode, out of payment. Magnus was attacked for him to be written off.

I prefer the way WWE is handling Shield to the way TNA is handling Aces and 8's to be honest.

As far as Wrestlemania, I can see it being another 3 on 3, this time more of a tag match. I see Miz being involved. Not sure who else.
