WWE: The Attitude Era (canceled/delayed) Who Care?

Now I wasn't even aware there was going to be a dvd on The Attitude Era as I don't follow WWE's media releases. But lets face facts here WWE in it's current state, would you go out and purchase this dvd set? We who grew up watching this era hold it high on a invisible pedestal and for WWE in it's current PG state will heavily edit the footage from the 'WWF logo, people saying WWF to the profanity and possibly the blood among other things (there will be no Chris Benoit). It'll be one great big pile of edited crap and that isn't how I want to remember that era when I watch it.

I personally have no use for this dvd anyway as I have original unedited versions of every PPV from 1997-2001 (including Over The Edge '99 which WWE will never release on dvd) and thanks to the people who had the foresight to record every RAW and Smackdowns from that era and upload them to torrents (call copyright all you want but WWE will never release every episode of RAW and Smackdown on a dvd set) So I have unedited original full episodes of every RAW and Smackdown from 1997-2001. So I can relive that era in full, and suggest those that want to as well to do the same.

Well, us "mature" wrestling fans love to buy attitude era stuff... so i guess we will get it even though we probably have other DVDs with the same shit... the point you could make is that WWE is trying to bank off of old footage (again) because they know we will buy it.

Point is: Its better to just enjoy it rather than complain about it ^_^

I'd love to own every episode of Raw from 93-2001 tbh Hell, even the PPVs.

Exactly. No point at all coming out with an Attitude Era dvd which is based around TV14 content pretty much.

If I had the collection you did, I'd be releasing my own AE dvds for purchase by fans of sites like this. You know on the down low and reasonably priced

The only thing I've seen edited from the AE DVD seems to be what would have been edited on TV during Raw and SmackDown originally anyways. Much of the PPV footage goes ahead and shows it unedited. IE: Stone Cold flipping off the crowd in some footage is edited and some are not. They don't bleep or blur WWF or the Scratch Logo on the DVD. So, take it for what you will, that is just the one I got from Wal-Mart in Missouri.
