*Facepalm* I love how idiotic people are at times as it makes me feel so much smarter, but at the same time makes me worry about the security of the human race in the future.

I'd agree with most people on this thread; I don't see the comparrison between Mahal and Hussan, it may be becuase I'm not xenophobic and can view someone and look beyond the colour of their skin. It may also be to do with the fact I have surpassed most peoples '6 years old' knowledge of basic geography. 'He would be beheaded in his country for that......India.....don't think so, its a secular state which has sign the UN's declaration of Human Rights which outright bans the death penalty. In fact the S are one of a few countries to still execute people, making it the worrying country not India.

The sad thing is, is that overall the WWE does nothing to break racial stereotypes which is a shame, becuase with a programmerunning like Be A Star, you really would think the WWE would do all they could to stop bullying of all forms. The turban like the nihab,burkah etc are garments from particular religions not races of people and the portrayal of a wreslter being a 'particular type of person' based on the colour of their skin is nothing more than racial stereotyping.

The only saving grace in all this is that, 'yeah he's a rock star in a turban' and why shouldn't he be, there is nothing weird about that, I hope the WWE do not draw to much attention to it, becuase it would really be a shame to turn that into a joke and further create racial tension in the WWE.

He's actually a Punjabi Sikh n trust me, I met many Punjabi Sikhs n India..singing is there in their blood..if a punjabi can't hum, he'll be treated as an alien by his people..

That's exactly what his gimmick is (or was at least).
And as for the Hassan comparison, no, there isn't a comparison. However IOM Mahal has the potential to be a similar character to Hassan. Not as good, since Hassan was an excellent heel, one of the best around that time, but Mahal could for sure be something similar.

Nothing to be worked up about Sahu most passing wrestling fans just saw a turban and related it immediately to Muhammad Hassan he has never had a gimmick resembling him at all ever.

I say let Jinder rock that air guitar as i quite like the 3MB gimmick (and i was a fan of Drew since his IWW days).

Jindar Mahal is a Hindu Sikh and he has nothing to do with rock n roll..Rock is a life style and people in the rock music community would hate him because they will instantly recognize that this guy knows shit about what he is doing..I could not imagine him as a rock start even in my dreams...Kurt Hawkins is much better look for a rock star...Jindar was much better in his original Punjabi/English speaking gimmick, I am a native Punjabi myself and I actually enjoyed his early Punjabi/English mix promos. He was someone with whom fans of Indiani and Pakistani Punjab could really connect...In his promos he was portraying the anger in native Punjabi style very very well.
