After watching smackdown, I wondered why the IWC can't stop complaining about him not challenging for the heavyweight titles. Now, I too want him to be world champion, but why is it a shame to feud with kofi and for the intercontinental title? I know the prestige has dropped, but it used to be an amazing title that elevated them. If we just push him straight to the top, what does that say? Older stars used to go up through tag team, to midcard, to world champion to be hall of fame. A slow rise for Wade Barrett is just what he needs. He needs to be built. So I think this both benefits both Wade and Kofi. What I am hoping is that Barrett wins, and wins rumble and then holds both world and intercontinental championship......I can dream can't I?

I do completely agree with you on having Wade Barret have a slow rise in the WWE cause why rush him? Now I do not think he should win the Intercontinental Title at TLC, I think he should win it at the Royal Rumble. The reason why is Kofi would be too buried in the feud plus his reign would be quite short. We need more suspsense and unpredictability with these two in their feud. I am all for Wade winning the Royal Rumble, just not this year due to Dolph Ziggler being world champion.

Seems like you amalgamated two recent threads here, but the topic is very relevant at the moment. Wade is a great heel, I also agree that Wade should winner the title later than TLC, As you have the issue now of maintaining 2 pushes simultaneously. And kofi losing the ic title so soon would do him no favours.

Wade Barrett is becoming quite a formidable force! I would love to see him hold a smaller belt. It adds prestige to have the belt passed around between guys who are steadily becoming more established week in and week out. I do not see how the lower championships can be classified as floccinaucinihilipilification.

I wouldn't mind seeing Wade Barrett as a second time Intercontinental Champion. As long as it eventually elevates him to the main event scene, I'm all game for it. Plus given how WWE Officials are using both superstars the past few weeks, we know that if there comes a match, it'll be an awesome one.

I don't think it's a shame for Barrett to compete for the IC Title. I look at it as a way perhaps to bring back more of a meaning to that title which would be great. And you also have to look at it this way. WWE is heading into the Royal Rumble in a few months and then the stretch run to WrestleMania. With Rock, Brock, and possibly Taker coming back for Mania more then likely they wouldn't want someone like Barrett in the main picture just yet. Hopefully, they have Barrett win the next MITB match then win the title.

I won't mind Barrett having another run with the IC belt, his first one was kinda lackluster, not to mention he dropped the strap to Big Zeke LOL

The way I see it the WHC scene is quite busy at the moment, with Big Show VS Sheamus, Dolph been ready to pounce with the MiTb, then there is Orton who will be getting in on the action soon after Dolph cashes in (so i hear).

So I think they are giving Barrett a fued for the IC title to keep him relevant, until there is an opening in the WHC scene, which I don't see happening until a couple of PPVs after Mania.
