EWN presents: Our Thoughts on the Shield

Well boys, we have officially got our first taste of The Shield. What do you guys think of their interview with cole? Reply with your thoughts...

Personally for me, I had a really good feeling about these guys. I understand why the IWC is crazy about these guys. Although little about their actual purpose for kicking rybacks ass is known, I seriously believe this is the best combination of aces and 8s and the nexus. Dean Ambrose is one hell of a talker, and he didn't even say much. Rollins and ambrose have a lot of charisma. And I think reigns does a great job of being a badass enforcer.

What are your thoughts ?

I personally love it and I hope we see them attack more people because I think this whole fairness angle is pretty promising. These three guys are all gonna be future world champions.

i think they are doing a great job, i hope they dominate the midcard first ( intercontinental and tag champs) and later going on to the main event

Great to see them finally called up as WWE needs some fresh faces and glad to see them as a group. I just hope WWE does things right with them and not feed them to Ryback, Kane etc and break them up. So its just wait and see for me- I don't have a lot of faith in WWEs product anymore. Its not the wrestlers- it creative/Vince/Steph that I have no faith in

They look very promising indeed. In fact under Triple H's mandate that newly called up superstars have solid storylines in place for them, the new additions to the roster have been very promising.

Antonio Cesaro: Has been properly built up as being quite a powerhouse, not really needing the 'dislike for America' persona very much now, since people have realised that he can wrestle a good match. He might need something else to develop his character further though, hope they have it planned

Damien Sandow: Cole is doing a good job of putting over the intellectual saviour to the masses. Sandow staying in character well and being a good talker is how you should promote an aristocratic smart aleck, rather than Alberto Del Rio's quite one dimensional character.

The Shield: Ambrose looks and sounds like a very unhinged maniac, he will do great things. Would be quite funny to put Sandow and Ambrose in the same room, they act at opposite ends of the heel spectrum.
Rollins seems slightly more cocky and tactical, he could be the main brains of the group
Reigns definitely has presence. Better than the usual cookie-cutter muscle bound guys like Mason Ryan, there's an element of menace to his character.

personally i think you all need to share what your smoking, each individually i see A LOT of charisma looks and i'll say i don't know if they have talent but i'm willing to give them a go, but no i'm not buying another group, i don't care... it's YET another heel group... and even worse it's another heel group in service to Punk... we've been there done that, they are going to have to show me somehtign impressive that HASN'T been done to get me to buy into it. and it's a shame because i saw a metric crap load of charisma in that line up, we're looking at guys who very well could be the next HHH, HBK, and Nash (i included nash mostly because i needed 3) IF they can go, now y'all have said they can so i'll give you benefit of the doubt. but nope don't like the faction thing... it's tired, it's been done, and unless you can show me they will do it different i'm not buying. what WOULD give me that, make them be actually what they say they are, and have them interfere on a face's behalf, have them come out to stop someone from "stealing a victory" i would love to see a faction like this as a tweener faction but for now it's just another heel faction.

I think you might need counselling. At the very least, a different choice of words.

OT: I expect that after much anticipatory moaning by the Indy Set about when they were going to debut, it won't be long before they're simply seen as, no longer guys from the bingo halls of indys, but firmly as WWE guys. As soon as that happens, the Indy Set will cast from their bosom these guys they hold so dearly, simply because of their origins and fix their eyes firmly onto the horizon again - the horizon of futures possible and expectations never met.

But it's nice to see fresh blood and I hope they do well.

The most believed current theory on The Shield is that they are here to protect CM-Punks' title reign until Royal Rumble for
his match against The Rock.

A second one is, that Punk knows nothing about these 3 and are "hired" by Paul Heyman; thus making them the next Paul Heyman generation; which may very well lead to the end of CM-Punk as WWE-champion, once Paul decides to cash in on the new guys, instead of his old "accomplishments"..

But what if, at the Royal Rumble, The Shield interferes on behalf of The Rock and making him win.. Can you imagine, The Rock standing tall with the WWE-championship accompanied by The Shield, revealing the next Raw that he set up the trio to "protect and serve" the belt on CM-Punk with revealing his Samoa-link to Roman Reigns, who looked for the right guys in nxt.

Don't forget that Wrestlemania is in New York, where CM-Punk gets more cheers than boo's, no matter what he is.. so how do you think the crowd would be with The Rock as heel and CM-Punk being what he has been for the last 372 days.. Best In The World !
