Yeah... It doesn't really look like a wrestling venue. Maybe they can shape it that way?
Or just tape from behind towards the audience? That will make your audience look freaking huge.

A great point that it can just be redesigned , looking at the pictures a wrestling show wouldn't be able to host the maximum capacity no wear near it. Once you get the ring the stage etc in there the seating will be reduced by a good bit . Not to mention they can leave an area free on seat between the ring side seats and the stands

So I assume they will do this configuration. they don't sell 110,111,136,135 ,210,211,212,235,236, as well as the blue sections. Once everything else sells out they will open the bottom halfs of 346-303, then maybe the orange and red that they didn't sell. Seems like a pretty good location since they can adjust seats easily to ticket sales.

Yes, I agree that a 70,000 seat venue might be a bit a too big for them. Unless they close off any upper decks and just keep the lower levels and floors available.

It reminds me of Temple football playing in Eagles stadium. Temple brings in like 4000, or 5000 people to their games. Many of which are for the other team. And Lincoln Financial field seats 65,000. So on Saturday afternoons, they close off the upper decks and keep them off camera. You can't even tell the difference.

I can only assume they would pick a venue like that because they feel they can do better than 4000, or 5000 people. Maybe they can draw in 10,000. Who really knows? If they close off the upper levels and set up the production the right way, they can make it look fine on tv.

Ok, while that does make sense, if they don't take the theater, will TNA be able to fill that up? At least halfway? Let's assume that's a 20.000 seat set up.
When was the last time TNA drew a 10.000 crowd?
They drew well for Slammiversary X, but that's no guarantee they can fill at least double, triple or quadruple of their Slammiversary crowd.
And another question: I don't know if you've ever been to a game theirs, but how is the crowd during those basketball matches? Does it affect the crowd if they see a half empty stadium across them? Or do they cover that up with a huge curtain?

That is the same configuration they use for the Talon games, Volleyball, and many others...

Personally, as big as the Illusion Theater is, I can see it fully working for this type of function. Especially since it is able to be molded to fit the needs of the audience expectation as well as being the proper venue acoustically for something like a wrestling event.

They will just take a page out of WWE's book. WWE will say they sell out arena's. Yet the upper levels are almost always tarped off. At least they are taking a shot at moving to a big arena.

They do this during Boxing Events and I know they have for the Volleyball events, Auto... Not sure about NCAA though.

Still, it seems like they're over reaching. I'm all for optimism but it's a little bit like holding a school play in a coliseum.
