So what does Cena do now? He puts over up and coming talent. His feud with Ziggler has shown Cena as dominant throughout, he's already pinned Ziggler clean (last Monday on Raw) and has nothing to prove. But by putting the MitB case on the line in a ladders match he can help elevate Ziggler to the top. Everyone will be talking about their match from here until Wrestlemania so long as The Sheild aren't involved. Win, lose or draw Ziggler's stock will rise (unless the match stinks and he's buried afterwards).

I hope you're right man. A lot of people are making valid points. I wrote this OP in a moment of panic, like a 12 yr old girl defending Twilight. As I sit back and really analyze, I think it could go either way.

On one hand, Cena could put Zigs over as a few members have suggested. He could cement his push into the main event scene with any form of win over Cena. Obviously, my fingers are firmly crossed for that. I think its well deserved, and the right move for the WWE as they looked to build new stars. (That said, I know the WWE owes me absolutely nothing and my opinion is strictly an opinion.)

On the other hand, I can't help but agree with those saying, "Why else make the match? Why else get Vince involved with tailor-fitting the stipulation to perfectly set up Cena vs Rock II to unify the titles?" It really does seem too catered to NOT happen. As I mentioned early, this has suddenly become the biggest match on the card in terms of impact and implications moving toward Mania. Should be a doozy!

calm down, I don't think that is what sleepy meant... I think the reason they are putting this match on is to make the match worth something to ziggler. make it a high profile match, a third major title match so to speak. I think it's obvious that cena will lose. it's a mitb briefcase for the whc... cena isn't going to the b show, dolph will win and give him some more credibility. Last time someone got over by beating cena in a high profile match it turned out ok for him (Punk)...also don't feel the need to do silly personal attacks on sigs and act like your opinion is more valid because of your age... I have seen you post on here you can beat him with logic

What does John Cena have left to do in WWE? He's held all the current WWE titles more than once (except the IC title). He's the face of the company. He's the main event even when he doesn't have a title. He has established himself as the Hulk Hogan, Rock, Stone Cold of this era and is pretty much guaranteed a place in the HOF (major scandals not withstanding). So what does Cena do now? Some people have compared it to Daniel Bryan's 18 second loss, it could go that way but it could also be like Sheamus' first WWE title win, which also came at TLC vs Cena.

The worst case scenario for me is Cena winning and leading into a title unification vs The Rock @ 'Mania just because it's so predictable, slightly better would be The Sheild interfering but not by much. We'll wait and see.

I did predict this as well... There is nothing wrong with cena helping him get over... though after reading more pages of this thread it would make sense if ziggler won with some help.

What's the opposite of the Mark-out Moment of the Year? Excuse me while I stop typing for a minute, I need to use my hands to remove the giant pit from my stomach.

Pardon the dramatics, but if John Cena wins the title from Dolph Ziggler - it will be the end of my passion for wrestling. Not because I'm a huge Dolph fan, not because I dislike Cena (because I genuinely don't), but because this represents every single thing that is gutwrenchingly painful about the WWE. They only care about making money and don't care AT ALL about what the real fans think. And I understand that, but this makes it real.

The WWE needs new characters to grow, to improve, to shine. TITLES build credibility and high profile matches at Wrestlemania make stars. If The Rock and John Cena walk into Wrestlemania the WWE and World Heavyweight Champions respectively, that will be the biggest insult the entire roster and the WWE Universe could ever receive. Here's what it does:

1. Tells the fans, we don't care about the rules we set. We can change things whenever. You're too stupid to care, you'll keep watching. MITB can be defended, the contract can change, no biggie. Just like when Vince came out and turned Team Punk into Team Ziggler even though it had absolutely ZERO relevance storyline wise.

2. Tells the roster, no matter how hard you work, you won't be rewarded. You will ALWAYS be second fiddle to John Cena. Honestly, whether you love or hate Dolph, chances are, you don't want to see Cena win the MITB.

3. Makes MITB worthless. Oh, so the SAME GUY cashes both in the SAME YEAR? Holy hell! This is nauseating to type! Good thing there is an entire PPV dedicated to it.

4. Poor Dolph. This guy has worked so hard. He's phenomenal in the ring, improving drastically on the mic, and you can tell his world revolves around being the best ever. If he doesn't win at TLC, I can't imagine how crushed he'll be. It sounds silly that I care, but I do. I just don't see how he could ever regain any of the steam he's got going if he loses this. The outcome of this match determines if he'll be an HBK or a Roddy Piper. I firmly believe that.

5. Wrestlemania will suffer. They are sacrificing a high profile title match if Rock vs Cena is for both titles. I have two floor seats for Wrestlemania 29, and I'll be damned if there will only be one championship match. So guys like DB, Sheamus, Show, Barrett, Miz, Ziggler, etc... NONE of them will compete for a major title? Only the Rock and Cena?

I'm sorry that I am venting through this post, but I believe I'm making valid claims. This seems so EFFED up. We watch this stuff year round, we invest a lot of time in it, we invest time in characters and want to see them grow. I feel like this is a MAJOR MAJOR step backwards for everyone effected. Not just Dolph, but whichever duo who loses a chance to feud for the WHC at Mania.

Go Dolph. All Hail the HEEL. Damn you Vince.

For me, I have no doubt that Cena will not win his MITB Ladder match at TLC vs Ziggler. Ziggler will win & retain. There is also a high chance for The Shield to be involved in this match as they have already attacked almost all the face main eventers, except Cena. WWE is almost always predictable so there is for me no chance for Cena to escape an attack from The Shield, so this will happen, and it will happen at TLC. Cena is looking too strong in his fued vs Ziggler on RAW or SD, so at TLC, high chances for him to lose vs Ziggler.

Of course I can be wrong.

What if The Shield attacks Ziggler instead of Cena ? ^^

If Cena does beat Ziggler, and does face Rock with both titles on the line at WrestleMania 29...then by WWE logic, Cena will become the 1st guy EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER to unify both titles.

I thought someone had acknowledged it, or I would have responded. Anyways, it would definitely be epic, BUT it probably wouldn't change too much. The WHC would be hanging during the match rather than the briefcase. At the end of the day, IF Cena wins...its the same outcome - Cena as WHC and Dolph's push slaughtered. If Cena were to win in this scenario, Dolph would have yet another insanely short title reign (less than 24 hrs), which would be a shot to the nuts. Bottom line, Dolphs gotta win. (If I tell myself that enough times maybe it will come true).
