I'm i the only one that felt like they were both taking real jabs at each other lol? It felt real.

It certainly seemed as if there were legitimate jabs between the two, which made for a great segment.

I like The Miz since day one, heel or actually face. And for me, The Miz vs Punk segment was the best part on RAW yersterday (with the Fatal 4 way for the US championship). I also like Miz TV ^^

Remember when Miz was like: "U know what sucks? your mom, oooooooooooh" I wuz rollin lol. I don't think Punk was expecting that either. It was the first time i ever seen him not have a witty comeback. It seemed like the WWE was just kinda letting them do their thing and "freestyle" and I must say I liked it... Just as long as it's someone like a Miz or Jericho or Punk. However I'm still a little on the fence about Miz being a face. It just feels wrong to me... IDK maybe it's because he's been a heel for so long. But if he does switch completely (he's kind of a tweener now) I'm sure I will get used to him being face. Because he's the Miz and Heeeeeee's AAAAAAAAWWWWWWESOOOOOOME!

I've always been a fan of The Miz, since he is by far one of the best on the mic currently, and I'm confident that he can pull off being a heel or face. What people need to realise, and I may gain some heat for this, but Miz is an actor as well as a professional wrestler. CM Punk is also an actor, as is John Cena, Triple H or any other superstar who's stepped into the ring.

Why you may ask? Because cutting a promo is acting, since you are playing a certain role, and coming from someone who attends one of the finest theatre schools in England (shameless plug), Miz is a great actor. That's why I'm confident that he'll be a great face, his love for the company is evident by the promotional work he does and I really hope that the WWE don't drop the ball with this.

I think he needs a little more tweaking. Yes, he did every babyface motion by the book. I will even admit I lik ed him during his promo with punk. However, even during the promo with punk, there were times he seemed self-absorbed and seemed to be the one getting the most entertainment out of the promo. I think Miz should be more of a tweener and not a full babyface.

I really don't get the gushing over his performance tonight. I'm beginning to think that perhaps I was watching a different show, 'cuz all I saw was a whole lot of pandering, mugging, self-satisfaction, and jokes/insults that people would have bitched about had they come out of the mouth of Cena.

I like Miz a lot, don't get me wrong. As a matter of fact, I was one of his few supporters around here when his first push towards the WWE title started. But even though they've got him going through the motions and doing all of the de facto face turn stuff, it's still just not clicking for me, at least not yet. Dude still needs to dial his inherent douchiness back a couple of notches.

That's sort of why I'm perplexed by all of this raving. Had the exact same content been delivered by Cena, dudes would be man-struating all over their internets. Miz's delivery wasn't such that it magically transformed all of the usual shit into something other than what it was, so much of the reception here feels like a case of people seeing what they want to see. I just don't think there's a whole lot of objectivity in the way people are looking at this, like, at all.
