Mmmm, has the old school vibe except the voice, which shouldn't surprise anyone.

I'm listening to Phoenix's new album that was released today... It was the album I was looking forward to the most this year, and I'm 5 songs into it and I can say so far, it's more than delivered. It took balls for them to go from normal alt pop rock... to a more experimental sound as they called it... Seems to have worked out for them.

Two seattle bands... Good choice Rob! I have always been partial to my areas music scene. I don't know if it is because I grew up with the sound or because I feel some weird loyalty to my area... Probably the first because I really like music scenes outside of my country as well.

I have not heard of this band before but they sound pretty awesome. I have never heard of water pop before, it's a unique sound.

water pop is just "alternative indie pop rock" basically, but there are some water themed lyrics and melodies in the song. But it's their own creation

I like alternative/indie pop rock. It's interesting that there is an entire genre dedicated to water but I can think of some pretty awesome songs about water that would fit into that genre so I guess I get the need for it's own genre.
