I dont get this, why are there soo many wwe shows?

To be honest I quit SD! like a month ago. I only watch RAW and it's good enough for me. The other ones I watch at anytime I want.

agreed as long as they make money smackdown will stay alive, not only that take a good look around, look at main event superstars saturday morning slam nxt look at all the new things they got going on all for the profit of making more and more.

It's Raw, smackdown, Superstars, Main event, Saturday morning Slam, NXT all these shows really? for what purpose do they serve? i'm just asking here..is it for more money since raw and smackdown get low ratings lately?
I dont know..but there are too many shows and the wrestlers who work for wwe have to be tired to travel from place to place to appear in all of these locations.
Some of these shows i can see the purpose behind them, Raw being the A show and smackdown the B show and i would keep nxt because that's where the new guys flourish but seriously as for the other 3 how come they are still nessecary? would u cut on those 3 other shows to give more time off for the wrestlers and would u invest on something else besides creating more pointless shows just for the benefit of gathering more money? like i said i dont know any of this whole money, tv making story..i just want to know if you find this right, for there to be soo many shows produced by the wwe lately.
Because in all honesty to me..i think it's wrong and it's very demanding to all wwe employers and superstars...

This in a nutshell (minus the ratings bit)...

I look at it from this angle; WWE has the fans who keep coming back and they are milking it. They also have a bunch of networks who are so desperate for that large audience to watch shows on their channel, they keep getting the deals done... My final reason is that Vince is doing his best to prove to the E Universe (and stock holders/investers) that he does have enough product for his own cable network. Outside of that, we also have all of these shows because VKM wants all of them... I just choose not to watch most of them.

That's what a business does, creates a product for money. It's certainly not pointless for them if it brings them cash.
The talent wouldn't have that day off anyway, if they weren't filming they'd just be doing house shows.

Raw and Smackdown are the bread and butter shows. NXT is a peek at the talent coming through. Saturday Slam is for younger kids and Main Event seems to be a showcase. They each have their own function.

You don't have to watch them all if you don't want to.

oh that's right the network, wasnt that supposed to come in like what..? 2010 or last year..?

Ion Television supposedly pays WWE for Main Event, so there's Main Event's reason for existing. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same way for Saturday Morning Slam.

Simply put, the WWE Network.
They're going to need to fill an entire channel with shows eventually, so it makes sense that they're introducing them already since they can see the audience reacts to the shows.
And the Network is apparently set to launch next year, although IMO they'll push it back again and launch it to coincide with WM 30.

so u all think it's a great decision for all these shows to be on just because vince is investing for his new network? :\ guys not for nothing but...if vince ever wanted to get his own network he should've done it years ago when the ratings were hot and big back 8 or 9 years ago..not now..i think the timing for it is the worst..
