WWE to get edgier?

PWInsider.com is reporting there is a big push internally in WWE to make the product edgier.






I'm not saying WWE has to go back to the Attitude Era but something needs to be done in order to draw back some of the fans who watched years ago that no longer watch the current product or find the current product rather dull. There has to be a way to satisfy both the younger audience as well as the older audience. [/FONT]

I highly doubt that this means that we will get tv14 back but other then that, this is awesome news.

When you hit rock bottom, you can only go up from there. 2012 is the new rock bottom for this generation's WWE. The last time this happened in 1997, we got the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Eras. Hopefully history repeats itself.

He's hell bent on improving ratings if anything. If the ratings continue to tank, he has to start looking at options other then the stuff that is being shown nowdays.

A couple of good steps for WWE to take going into 2013:

*Get rid of WWE Superstars completely. It's pointless.
*Release all the lower card guys that have been grumbling about their job for the past year.
*Make Saturday Morning Slam a 1 hour show and move all the kid-oriented stuff (Hornswoggle, Clay, Khali, etc.) to there peremenantly.
*Move Monday Night Raw back to a 2 hour show. The 3 hour format isn't working.
*Revive the "Raw Is War" concept, where the first hour is more PG, but the second hour is way more TV-14.
*Do the exact same thing for Friday Night SmackDown.
*Pretend to actually give a damn about both brands equally.
*Keep WWE Main Event the way it is.
*If you're going to use the same Superstars over-and-over again, fine. But at least stop giving us the same match-ups every other week.

Obviously, the star power isn't what it used to be, but everything mentioned above should help WWE programming out.
