TTE to all you fed peeps- a poll kinda thingy.

Hey guys, TTE here with a fed-related thread... lol, fed thread. So clever.

    ...*static*

...Anywho, a question of sorts to all my peeps out in da hood.
For those of you familiar with my characters, you'll note that my characters Damian Eddings, Whiz, and Iceman are typically comical, while Nathan St. John and Bushido have a more serious persona.
Thus, my question- which do you prefer?
Do you like the comedy in ICing/Promos? Or are you more of a serious-promo kinda guy/gal? Or does it not matter, so long as it gets the job done?
    ...Or do you... do you...
    not like my work?
OH, I CAN'T BEAR TO THINK OF IT!
*cries in corner a few minutes, then recollects*

    ...*sniffle* Answers, p-please... thanks.

I have no problem with comedy in promos. Either way works if you do it right.

But seriously, I believe a good promo needs to be serious, with small comedic aspects *depending on the character*, or vice versa.

I think the definition of a successful or in better terms "well-rounded promo" would be one who can balance out both aspects. I think you should keep rolling with the serious strikes and make some jokes when appropriate... Sorta like CM Punk, John Cena, Chris Jericho, and The Rock. Hell even Steve Austin would do the trick.
Hey.. I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know.

It completely depends on the character. If you're portraying a serious character, then you need that all round balance, as TDA said, much like The Rock, Jericho, Punk, Cena, Austin etc.
If it's a comedy character, then you need to focus on the 'funny factor' of the promo.

I agree with Tommy I think it depends on the character you're playing and having been exposed to all of those characters you mentioned I think you play them just fine as they are.
