Actually, for the OP, it's becoming an increasing trend now where a lot of cinema goers (especially younger teenagers) do prefer to know the ending before they see a film. This is pretty well documented over the last few years, look it up.

As regards to the point in hand, I'm sure they were hoping it would boost ratings to see a potential title switch, as I'm sure a New Year Eve Raw will struggle for viewers. Besides it didn't do Foley much harm when his title win was revealed by WCW.

wwe is ruining title matches by putting them on taped shows and not live shows.

I think what he means is - why is WWE not only telling us a title is changing hands, but telling us who became the new champion days ahead of time? It's like they took a spoiler, and took it to the next level with photos and videos.

What's the point of watching it on television tomorrow? By giving away what's going to happen, even less people are going to watch Raw.

The more WWE caters to the Internet, the worse Raw and SmackDown becomes.

That is very different, Foley was an underutilized face that the WCW faithful knew and wanted to be successful taking on the pushed to hard to fast 3rd generation superstar. Also the fingerpoke of doom.

Spoilers never really ruined anything for me

In fact, I'd rather see them so I know if what I'm expected to sit down and watch for several hours is worth it or not.

That and well, I frequent a wrestling site.. so... spoilers are expected in the picnic basket.

That's not the point or their thought process. Titles don't often change outside of PPV's these days, so just promoting the match isn't going to do a lot, promoting an actual change they think this will up the viewrship on an episode they know will fair rather badly.

Why is WWE telling me what happens!? It does not make me want to watch RAW more in fact it makes me want to skip it.
Whats the point in watching title matchs on Main event now? Because if the title is going to change WWE will spoil it. I want to be surprised it's like someone telling you what happens at the end of a movie your about to watch.

I read spoilers last week, and decided not to watch, spoilers being avaliable only makes you want to watch if the show is good, and lately, it isn't.
