I have been going through the blogs and through the threads reading all about who will be at wrestlemania and what current champion will be defending the title there and I got to thinking: Some are saying that Wade Barrett will defend at Wrestlemania which means that Kofi won't win the title back so...

Can anybody remember the last person to regain the title after using the rematch clause? I really can't remember.

Don't care if it could seem like he never lost it. Fact is that Cody regain the IC on his rematch clause. Yes or No ?

IMHO, the "automatic" rematch clause that came into vogue in recent years is a TERRIBLE idea. Wrestler A goes through all sorts of drama to either chase or hold onto the belt, then the (first) match essentially doesn't matter, because the loser always gets another go at it.

Rhodes won the title right back from Show last year.
Mysterio won the title right back from Jericho in 2009.
Hardy won the title right back from Morrison in 2006.

It's unlikely, and would be a waste of a title change, but yeah, Kingston COULD win it back from Barrett as early as the Royal Rumble.

I thought Rhodes won the title back so Christian could get it, but the "every active title" thing doesn't really work with a very forgettable title reign.

I remember that Nexus got the tag team titles back the same night. Now i'm remembering. I just want to say that the whole rematch clause is dumb. I remember TNA talking about how that idea wasn't for them then Aries goes on as asks for a rematch because it was in his contract or something like that. I just find the instant rematch dumb because it doesn't make anybody look good.
