true... sec teams seem to be unbeatable in the big bowl games ( minus against each other) I just posted a new status on facebook about how we are not going to get a good national championship game until we have a playoffs and I do really believe that... notre dame was not the second best team in the country. they played no one who could contend for a national championship.

edit: minus the team that owned them in the national championship.

Got say Notre Dame was done after the 1st Qt, 2nd Qt was the nail in the coffin..... the 3rd and 4th was points of respect...

yea, it was bad. I don't get why they don't join a major conference or at least play a better schedule. They just got embarrassed on a national stage because everyone wanted to crown them champions because they have been irrelevant for so long... david meet golliath.

he was online earlier. I think he did say that either team was good enough to blow out the other team to be fair. but we totally nailed the fact that nd was going to get owned.

could be held true for Alabama as well. Georgia was not a championship caliber team and they were the closest. Also, before someone tries the LSU could be line, nope. Clemson crushed them.

winning the sec championship is much more impressive than beating a barkley-less usc team.

Georgia would have done the same thing to Notre Dame and 25-24 is not a crushing victory. Alabama beat Notre Dame by about the same amount they beat Michigan

The only thing close in the Clemson LSU game was the score. That's it. Overall the better numbers were on Clemson's side. By a mile. Everyone goes agog when they see a close score and think "These teams are close", when in reality they aren't. Than, numbers can also lie, like ND v Bama. The teams were close on paper but one was clearly better. No team Alabama played that was ranked was really any better than a team that ND played. Save maybe LSU. That's it. And Georgia would definitely have not beat Notre Dame. We'd be talking a Touchdown point differential at the end of the game if the replac......the referees had called the first two major calls in the game right. The tight end making the brilliant catch that wasn't called or reviewed by the officials. Than also the "Not giving room to catch" call when Alabama's own player ran into the catcher who had called fair catch. That changed the game dramatically, and took Notre Dame out of it mentally because the Refs took the game out of their hands.
