The Shield = The Stale

Anyone else completely bored with the Shield? Oh gee, so they jumped someone else last night and power-bombed him. Why not put them in a meaningful storyline so we can actually see these guys wrestle on RAW / SD / Main Event, etc? I do like the pack mentality and that the E is making them a stronger trio than 3MB, but for the most part, as quickly as they became interesting, they have become stale. Their best promo was their first, explaining who they were and why they were there. These video packages are incredibly weak. I mean, who leaves a live camera laying on the ground?

I actually like their videos. It reminds me of when NWO started doing their videos in black and white, which no one was doing at the time (or ever I think.) They (the videos) are unique and have a ransom-like feel to them.

As for their roles, I think they have to take a direction. Start a feud with someone in particular and not just any babyface they see. I would definitely like to see more of them in actual matches. Whatever they decide to do with them, they should do it fast.

By the way, using 3MB as a measuring stick is hilarious.

I think my biggest complaint with their promos is... they dont let Ambrose shine. Which could be the reason why they went to this style as opposed to what they did on their first sit down promo. Seems like Ambrose got a ton of praise for that original promo, but they might want these guys to be viewed as equals so he talks as much as the others. I would have thought after TLC that we would see more out of these guys, but nope...

Not a measuring stick... just a comparison. Seems like the WWE was notorious for letting groups get destroyed by top main eventers. But actually letting these guys stick with the pack mentality and coming out on top gives the Sheild an edge. In previous scripts, a guy like Ryback would have destroyed all 3 members.

I am ! Same things weeks after weeks since they started. Nothing we did not see since Nexus. WWE is doing exactly the same with all the stables since Nexus. Now I really don't care what happen with The Shield. Too much boring. WWE should really find something new to do with a stable instead of doing what they do for years now. Or perhaps they should stop making stables.

This is just my opinion of course.

Shield continues to look strong dominating the top names in WWE? Boo they are getting boring and stale. Shield starts getting beat by top names in WWE? Boo they are not getting pushed enough and look weak. There is no way to win.
