Will CM Punk confront The Shield tonight ?

Champions have an automatic rematch clause in their contract, right? And if any champion deserves his rematch, it's Punk after his historic reign. We'll likely see the rematch signed for EC, or maybe even on Raw.

My hunch all along has been that Jericho is behind The Shield. Even while he's away, he shows his influence on WWE. He tried to screw The Rock because he knew he could beat him for the championship(he did beat him and Stone Cold in the same night, let us not forget) and he wanted to beat Punk for title after he, theoretically, won the Rumble. Theres a million ways they could run with this story-wise.

On a side note, anyone else bothered by the fact that Punk got pinned after just a spine buster and the people's elbow!? It made Punk look weak and it was just kind of an anti-climax, especially since Punk was on the offense for 95% of the match. I was ok with The Rock winning, but not the long title reign ending like that. I think we might see the rematch at EC, and it'll be the 4 star match I was expecting last night.

EC will have 2 chambers. One for the WWE Championship, the other for the WHC. So A match in the RAW chamber at EC not for the WWE champsionship would make no sense since Cena won the RR. So for me Punk will have his rematch on RAW, and of course he will be in the RAW chamber.

As for Y2J the leader of The Shield, it's almost obvious that it's not possible as Y2J is probably not here for a long time, maybe just one or a few RAW after Wrestlemania. Of course I don't know but I highly Y2J is behing The Shield. For me, Heyman is the leader.

Punk sold the elbow well enough. He's the only person who should have beef with the ending and clearly - he doesn't. Surely he will come out and bitch about losing on Raw to which the CM Marks will think is a shoot and continue to be all indignant on his behalf (gee guys, thanks for that!). Bottom line is, they told Punk, "You'll be losing to the People's Elbow tonight" to which Punk said "Sure thing". So don't go laying all the blame everywhere but with Punk. He's as equally complicit as The Rock but I'm willing to bet that that was the ending handed down from Vince and there wasn't much either man could do beyond that.

At EC 2011, one of the matches was not for a belt at all. And since the event has only been going since 2010, it's hardly a given that both matches will be for the belts.

Well for whoever said Y2J is behind the Shield there is a rumor he might turn heel after EC and feud with Ryback. Also I guess WWE wasn't so sure that Ryback could lift the Big Show and didn't want to risk it.

A couple of years ago, Miz defended the WWE title against Jerry Lawler at Elimination Chamber, so there could be a Rock vs Punk rematch. You make a good point though, it doesn't seem likely. And having The Rock compete in the chamber is a way to protect The Rock and have him come out late in the match. Rock didn't seem to be in ring shape last night, or at least in good enough shape to keep up with Punk. He should be fine for a Cena-paced main event.

Why would you want to be that? For starters, just being a mod doesn't give me the awesome brainpower to make the most kickass posts on here - that's all me. And then there's the long line of people with the mythical (and invisible) theories and ideas of "How To Mod" and "How A Mod Should Be" which they have no problem letting you know. However, I'm yet to be directed to the section entitled "How To Give A Fuck About It" which I am really dying to read.
