The Elimination Chamber Conundrum

To be honest I don't really like the EC for a title match I'd rather they were Number 1 Contenders matches and then have a good old one on one match for the title. But it's not like the WWE title is the only one, why not a mid card EC for the US or IC titles? It's easier to pick out 6 people you think could be US champ than it is to pick out 6 that could be WWE champ and at least 2 of the 6 EC combatants from previous years have always been place holders cause that's how many pods there are

I like the mid-carder idea. You get better performers in that match. Like, Antonio Cesar vs Kofi Kingston vs Miz vs Rey Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes vs Damien Sandow. Sounds pretty good.

I fail to see how The Rock defending the WWE Championship against CM Punk and 4 other competitors in a Chamber match is a bad thing. Both he or Punk could emerge victorious without ever pinning each other. That would set the stage for Rock vs. Cena vs. Punk at WrestleMania.

Yes, I am still convinced that WWE isn't stupid enough to directly have Rock vs. Cena II one year after what was promoted as "Once In A Lifetime". A Triple Threat makes the idea a spin-off instead of a sequel.

Oh and on the subject of the Raw EC match, I think we saw who would likely be in it last night and that is;

Sheamus
Ryback
vs
The Shield.

Book it.

For me I would like to see a tornado tag EC pitting John Cena, Sheamus & Ryback vs. The Shield. It would start 1 on 1 with the other entrants entering at 5 minute intervals (preferably in The Shield's favour), pinfalls or submissions could occur during this stage to allow one team an advantage. Once all the entrants have been released from their pods, the first pinfall or submission would win the match. And for whoever asked the 3 non-title EC winners were Triple H & Undertaker (No Way Out 2008) and John Cena (Elimination Chamber 2011)
