It being reported here that Dixie Carter going make a announcement this week....

TNA President Dixie Carter tweeted the following message testing a major announcement on Impact Wrestling tomorrow:

"I will be making a major announcement on IMPACT tomorrow (8/7c) This will change everything for our wrestlers, company & YOU our audience!"

Could it be the plans to finally take Impact on the road full time??? I hope so myself it now or never, plus they can still honor their contract with Universal Studios with the taped PPVs and other TV projects....

I hope it's something legit and not kayfabe. Like because of Hogan's state of mind over the wedding or injuries from A&8s that he has to be replaced by Sting, until he gets better.

But if it's legit, the only thing I can think of is going on the road. I'll be interested to see what everyone else thinks.

I don't know what it is, but everytime you see something, you look WAYYYYY too far into it. She's always making "big" announcements, and they rarely live up to the hype. I don't think it will be live announcement, but probably announcing a gut check some where else (like the british), or Impact/ppv going on the road soon (one or two impacts, not all the time) after the success of the tapings in the UK.

I think taking Impact "on the road" is a bad decision, in Orlando they have a decent amount of fans but its going to be hard to get that same amount or more in the buildings oustside Orlando. I honeslty dont believe the fan support is there.

TNA needs to stick to smaller venues like I said 3 or 4 or 5000 seat arenas..... Time will tell..... but as said above they always make big announcements...

Question...If TNA starts going on the road, like a lot, doesn't that take away from the incentive of some of their guys for actually staying, since some of them prefer TNA to WWE because of travel? Like Kurt Angle????

I not trying to be negative. I think if the older guys bounced back to the WWE and they went on the road more they can establish some of their own young main stream talents, instead of reaching for that low hanging ex WWE fruit to draw.

I'd love that.

If TNa are going on the road they need to stick to smaller venues like HCollins said. Start small and when the audience grows move to bigger venues. There are some awesome smaller venues out there and a packed small place will always be better than an empty arena.

Nahh because they have an appearance limit anyway no matter the venue. A large majority of them travel on Thursdays so it's not a huge difference. WWE wrestlers do 200+ shows a year and TNA wrestlers push 75-100. Still a nice difference if talents are looking for a lighter work load. Interesting thought though!
