this thread isnt really created for the purpose of fun so sorry if you don't care about anyone problems.
But i was just hoping there might someone who has experience with my situation.

Its not a big deal like, im sure many of you have bigger problems than I. But me and my family moved cities which means i have to go to a new high school. Its not a big deal as i dont have any health problems(sorry if u do or know anyone who does) but changing schools has really been laying on my mind heavy. Im just kind of scared no one will like me, or stare at me. By the way i start my new school tomorrow for second semester(starts on a Friday thats dumb). Today i have just been really depressed by the worry of feeling alienated during lunch or anything like that. I just thought maybe there have been people on this site who have been in my situation who could grant me hope by telling me everything is going to be all right.

I was going to create this thread for the purpose of me getting help, but now i see it as an opportunity for others on this website to find some light in a dark time. a way to help others. im creating this thread as kind of a place to share the current problems you have and maybe you can get hope if somebody else on these forums have been in your situation.

I haven't been in the situation where I've had to change schools, but I've (like most) made the jump between primary school and high school, and then from high school to university, and then from university to college.
I didn't know anyone who went to the university I went to, but within the first hour (yes, 1 hour) I'd already made more friends than I had fingers on my hands.
Same for when I went to college. Didn't know a single person before I started, now I have a good group of friends there.
I get on with people very well, and find making new friends very easy. I'm lucky in that sense, and I know that since I know of others that can't do that so easily.

My advice: don't be scared. Don't keep yourself to yourself. Make an effort to say hi to your new classmates and make nice with them. You just have to have the confidence to put yourself out there and go for it. If you do that, then you'll have no trouble making new friends. As you talk to your fellow classmates, you'll learn who has the same interests as you etc and you'll find who will be your new group of friends no doubt. I'm sure the teacher or whatever will allocate someone or a group of people to show you the ropes and show you around. Make sure to talk enough to them.

My family moved around alot through the years so I ended up switching schools every few years, it can be a difficult thing but it doesn't need to be. My problem was that I was very withdrawn and had a few issues with being around people so I wound up shuting everyone out and it made school a very lonely experience.

As for you, I would just say go to this new school thinking about the best but being prepared for the worst. There are always going to be people who will screw with you because your new or your not like them but tehre are also going to be people that can become good friends if you give them a chance. Good luck at your new school man and don't worry so much about how people see you, if your confident in yourself then nothing anyone says or does can bother you.

Thanks TOMMY THUNDER, it helps. Your right about having to put yourself out there(out of "comfort-zone") and thats mainly why i am worrying a bit. Because if you know me, i come off as a nice, but a little too shy guy. Im too quiet.

THanks again, and nice story about college/university, i hope you become succesful and find yourself a nice career. I heard its sometimes easier to get a job from college than university, dont know if true.

but from kindergarden to grade 8, i have moved 6 schools. lol. Moving around alot can ruin your friendships

I wish I'd still been in school when I moved. It might seem dounting, but it's still much easier to meet people and make friends while your in school.

Yeah I've had a few friendships ended because of moving but really now that internet messengers, facebook, skype theres really no reason a friendship has to end because your not living near by anymore. To be honest the only people I would consider close friends, people that I would trust with my life that is, I don't live anywhere near.

That move ratio is pretty rough, I'm sat seven moved schools before graduation so I know where your coming from but like I said, hope for the best but be ready for the worst. And dont' worry, worst comes to worst you've still got all the lunatics piled up on here.

I only had to change schools once in my life and you probably don't want to read this, but it fucked me up quite a bit. I moved states during the early years of high school (high school here goes from Year 7 (year 8 some states) to year 12 and isn't broken up by what I think the Yankee Doodles call middle school? Anyway....as B Mac said, don't be discouraged.

My major problem was the way I handled it. If I had known better to do things differently, for instance had I had a sounding board like this, it would have been an easier ride for me. Knowing what I know now, I could have killed that mofo!

Yea agree with everything above...Been there myself and being yourself is all it really takes.

Got one myself though as well: I'm lactose intollerant...Pretty sure. Nothing dangerous health wise on that kind of level...Just tears my stomach up.

Not having the vitamins can mess up your body man, but here are some ways to get the nutrients you need without having lactose type products. Also some beers have lactose so watch for those as well.

• Take calcium supplements
  
• Eat foods that have more calcium (such as leafy greens, oysters, sardines, canned salmon, shrimp, and broccoli)
  
• Drink orange juice that contains added calcium
