The Undertaker, Has He Still Got It Or Should He Retire

Ok should the dead man retire or does he still have it...

It's a simple question

Me i feel he should retire and train new talent in the back and the WWE needs to move on from the DEADMAN and understand that they will never ever recreate a person like that again

IMO, he should call it a day at next year's Wrestlemania; Wrestlemania 30.
The ultimate match that's left for WWE to do with the Undertaker is him vs John Cena. That's a big marquee match that would fit right in at Wrestlemania 30 (with it being an anniversary WM and all that).

So I think Taker beats Cena at next year's event, then retires for good.

Has he still got it? No, he hasn't. He's obviously not as good as he was a few years back. However, he's still somehow managed to put on great matches against HHH the past 2 years (even if both have left him in rough shape). I still think that with 12 months between each Wrestlemania, that Taker gets enough time to rehab his body enough so that he can work one match each year. And next year, I think should, and will be his final one.

agree with that, i would like to see lesnar vs taker this year ( i know wont happen) and next year against cena, then retire, then in two years, hof induction and i dont think the deadman would be around to train talent, i think he would just retire and enjoy life

people moan about the likes of Rock and Lesnar taking up the spots of full time guys but Taker is just as bad, comes around once a year and takes 30 minutes of the biggest event.

While I would like to see him go until mania 31, the true 30th anniversary, I don't think he has it in him, and I don't want see him in a Hogan type match, as soon as e can't put on a great show that should be it, there is use in milking a dead cow.

Does The Undertaker still have "it". If "it" is the power to draw money, crowds and heat, the skills to perform moves and holds safely, great ring command and the determination / dedication required to put of some of pro-wrestling's all time greatest matches then the answer is: yes.
Unfortunately, Mark Calaway is 47 and has put his body through hell for our entertainment and clearly is unable to keep doing so, so if "it" is the ability to still "go" in the ring, sadly the answer is no. While I respect the hell out of what he's done in wrestling (he's 2nd in my all time top 3 favourite wrestlers) and I don't mind him working one match a year on the grandest stage of all it's time for him to retire. He has no-one left to beat, nothing left to prove and nothing left to do in wrestling. As for beating Cena; John Cena is a different kind of Superstar to The Undertaker he's The Ultimate Warrior to 'Taker's Randy Savage, he's Hulk Hogan to HBK. A win over Cena would change nothing and mean nothing because The Undertaker should always beat John Cena.
I really hope that he and WWE can find a way to have him involved in WWE programming and maybe Wrestlemania but if The Deadman has worked his last match all I can do is say "thanks for the memories, the terrifying, awesome, 'GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY, GOOD GOD ALIMIGHTY THEY'VE KILLED HIM' memories."

I just found this, while looking for the JR quote, and it's old but still kinda relevant. 'Taker won't stop until a) Vince stops him or b) he physically can't manage any more.

I think he'll stop next year and spend time with the family. He'll be relegated to a talent scout/ambassador role. He won't train people, he'll make special appearances. Taker, for what he's been through is still good, but it's time to hang it up in year.

Kane, while not the topic, is the better choice to train people, be on creative(rumors were he was starting to sit in on some), and be a backstage producer/talent scout.
