I'll start with the list bryanb1306 put up. I just want to get my 2 cents in, besides I like a good debate.
John Cena sucks so badly, he needs to turn heel. (Okay, that one I'll agree with):
Yes, this needs to happen, or at least a Shawn Michaels mini-heel run. (IE: When he played the heel to Hulk Hogan's Face.) It drew Shawn mega heat, but when he went to face in the click of a finger, it was a believable move.
Randy Orton is so bland as a face. He needs to turn heel.
I agree with this too. While his skill is really good, he just doesn't do Face well. He can be a tweener or Heel, but never a Face.
CM Punk is a much better heel than a face.
Even though Punk is a better Heel than he is a Face, he is still very good at both. When he is truly at his best though is when he is a tweener on the heelish side.
Sheamus needs to turn heel again, he isn't convincing as a face.
Sheamus is an awesome face. He is a good talker, and a good brawler. He is an awesome heel too, for the same reasons. In all respect, for his type of character, he is probably more balanced than CM Punk is in this regard.
Rey Mysterio needs to turn heel to refresh his character.
Mysterio is the one guy who should be a lifetime Face. Yes, in WCW he was a heel. It didn't last very long. Keep him Face. Same reason you should really keep Cena Face. It just isn't a bad thing for the kiddies to have a couple of guys that they can have fun watching.
The Miz sucks as a face. He was a better heel.
AMEN!!! I really thought as good a talker The Miz is, that he would transition into the Face role really well. Oops! I missed on that one.
Now on to BMAC:
Cena is perfect as he is... Honestly... He sells a shit load of merch and the kids love the guy. To them he is the best face there is. To the adults he doesn't have to be liked, it plays out better for him that way. The longer he stays the little kids hero, the more adult fans hate the guy. He might act like a goody goody, but the guy plays a perfect tweener role...
He isn't a tweener. He might seem to be one, but he truly isn't. He is very much a Face. Despite the smart fan actually hating him. Every other thing you said was spot on in this regard.
Randy Orton and CM Punk simply are not good as faces, yes they do the wrestling part well, their mic skills don't change but the believability factor just hasn't been in any of their runs as a face unless you want to count the very beginning of punks WWE time at ECW...
I agree with Orton being here. Punk is believable in any role the WWE has put him in. Than you had the summer of Punk. That was a Face roll if there ever was one.
I like Sheamus as a dangerous yet funny Irishmen... Tell his Irish jokes then kick someone's head off for the enjoyment of the fans... It's great. If you have him as a heel it gets rid of an important part of his character. The part that draws people in.
Agreed. Moving on.
I wouldn't believe Rey as a heel ever... Keep him as is until his retirements.
Agreed. Moving on.
Kofi doesn't need to turn heel, but he does need to be more aggressive like when he had the program with Orton and wrecked the car...
I would like to see the heel turn. Just to see if he can do it.
I would be remiss if I didn't add my own to all this whilst responding to everything else.
Best Face turn should go to Alberto Del Rio. Dude was dull as hell as a heel. As a face, he is fantastic. He proved he can be over by himself without Ricardo. Yes, he is Most over with Ricardo, but last night's SmackDown was proof that he is fine alone too. I hope they keep him face for awhile. He shows great emotion in this role.
