really to answer that question you have to ask , what is a great wrestler? For me that's the whole package, in ring skill, story telling, Mic work, the ability to make a character go over. HHH is not the best ring worker out there, plenty of mid card workers outshine him....however, story telling, VERY few people are better, getting a character over, maybe 1 or 2 people do it better than he does (taker, michaels, and angle come to mind but the list pretty much stops there), Mic work, sorry the man is the standard, he had some rough spots (during the evolution era he just got long winded and was over used). the proof is there, how good is HHH... Taker vs. HHH 1 the initial set up was a 5 minute promo in which which neither one said a damn word and it was the best spot in the build up of that whole wrestlemania. he carries his character well and you believe him, Does he have an ego YES, and i am SURE every person in the locker room does too, you can't reach that level of success without one, you have to have that unshakeable knowledge that you are the best in the world and it's just a mater of time before the world sees it. but he can do comedy, he can do intensity, as a heel he's a cold calculating egomaniacal bastard , as a member of DX he's a lovable irreverent goof. he is a really impressive performer... his weak spot is in ring, and there he's still damn good... the best no but no one to over look.... does he belong in the best 100 of all time... in ring probably not as a performer/ superstar... definately yes. would he have made it without steph... no clue and there is no way to know, but i suspect yes.
