Could anybody else besides me see a pairing between these two working out?
From what I saw last night, Maddox looks like he's at the beginning of a face turn, but it's definately more of a self-serving tweener role than anything. Miz is also the f'n definition of what a tweener is right now. He's not really a face, but a heel that now sides with the faces and taunts other heels.
Both men have found themselves on the bad end of Paul Heyman's goon squad (CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and The Sheild), which may or may not form a modern-day Dangerous Alliance by WrestleMania. Both men like to run their mouth and annoy people, and both men are known for making sure the spotlight is on them.
What Miz has that Maddox dosen't needs is the experience and success of being a WWE Superstar. If these two were to be paired up in a mentor / apprentice relationship, it could work. They could play off the irony of Maddox earning a contract through tag teaming rather than singles matches.
Miz is good on the mic, and Maddox can hold his own. I wouldn't mind seeing them as tag team champions either.
