John Cenas equal

Over the years, people always complain how no one in the WWE can be as big as a superstar as John Cena(since he was face of the company) But, I think that's a bit over the top. I do agree with most of that statement but there have been superstars who have, or not only reached his level. But surpassing him, or atleast beating him cleanly in a match.

The question is...who do you think, since Cena has been on top, has been John Cena's biggest equal? I know most of you are going to say Rock, so i'm just going to go ahead a name a different superstar. My pick is Triple H, the reason being, whenever these two face you generally do not know who would win. They haven't faced one on one a lot of times, but Wrestlemania, Night of Champions and a couple of Raws have been the amount I think. In the times they faced, they both have losses and picked up wins against each other cleanly every time.

The rated R superstar! He was the greatest heel that Cena has ever faced. Cena wasn't as super hero-esk when facing Edge... Though, I can see why people would choose any of the other options (maybe excluding Punk).

Tough. HHH is of course in the same league, but you could argue he isn't a contemporary. The legends (Undertaker, Shawn Michaels) have also fared well against Cena, but they surely aren't from Cena's era.

Brock could've been the same kind of player, but he left. Out of they guys that stayed: Batista at the high point of his Smackdownrun was kinda in the same league, but he had a lot less longevity. Had they paired them against eachother though, I´d have serious doubts who was going to win.

So because I don´t really see HHH as a contemporary (he was already ´made´) I voted Batista.

I'd have to also go with Edge. Not just because he's one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, but the fact that he was Cena's Lex Luthor. The Yang to his Yin. He was his equal on the opposite spectrum. Edge it is.

I went with Edge. Cenas lack of wrestling ability against the sheer brilliance in ring of Edge. The true good vs evil match-up.
