I think the majority of you guys are focusing on the wrong person for Swagger to go against...


Imagine Swagger, full out detest for those who aren't 'real americans' approaching Samoa Joe and asking to see his birth certificate to prove he is a legal American. These two in the ring would be a greater highlight, for me at least, than Swagger versus Angle.

It's not the opponents it's just that he is God awful on the mic. Give him a mouth piece and then he'll have a chance, but that's assuming he's getting a good mouth piece.

Nah. Cameron as in one of Brodus Clay's valets. Not only did she get arrested for a DUI but she BRIBED the cop who pulled her over. It did absolutely nothing to her at all.

They're having her be all flirty with Tensai at the moment, that's pretty punishing

This sucks. Some of these guys are the worst decision makers. I was really looking forward to where this new gimmick was going to go. Especially since the guy is an alumni of my university.

This feels almost as bad as the time when Lance Cade passed out on the plane during the great Y2J/Shawn Michaels stuff. We complain about Cena being on top and never pushing the young guys, but maybe it's because Cena is one of the only guys they can trust not to go out and constantly ruin the image of the WWE.

The guy's about to be the co-main event of WrestleMania and he does this. Enjoy the bottom of the card, Swagger.

You guys do understand that this is hardly the first marijuana related incident in recent WWE history? Evan Bourne was caught out, but only got a suspension, R-Truth was caught out and only received a suspension, I'm pretty sure RVD was caught out in the past, Heath Slater was caught out recently and again was only suspended.

Sure, all of the above were caught via random tests and not via an arest, but still, I expect that the same wil happen to Swagger. He's likely to be suspended, but I doubt he'll be released.

Wasn't RVD busted during his One Night Stand run in 2005? I swore they suspended him, made him drop the title, and ultimately released him. Back than the roster was a little stronger so I don't know they can afford to just fire Swagger. Even if they suspend him, I doubt he will see another title shot anytime soon.

The arrest is just one of a several things that makes this a different beast than Truth and Bourne. First off, because of the arrest, WWE's Wellness Poliy (which you can read for yourself here BTW) gives WWE the legal right to fire him. Course, that doesn't mean they're forced to, but they have that right.

Also, given Swagger's character, this is a much bigger deal than those two. Swagger's character is one of moral superiority and DUI's and Marijuana, are still looked down upon as immoral behavior. Sure DUI's are common and the stigma of Marijuana is slowly decreasing, but viewed by the majority as immoral.

WWE also has a history with this. Remember Serena? The straight-edge onscreen character they fired for wanting to "party hard"? Swagger's character rails against illegal immigrants and amongst the Conservative party "illegal immigrants and "drugs and alcohol" practically go hand in hand. So for Swagger to commit the same crimes that are associated with the same group he's vocal against, creates the same contradiction as what happened with Serena. The mainstream attention he's been getting from the Conservative press doesn't help him at all either.

So WWE has plenty of reasons to let him go. At the very least he'll probably lose his Wrestlemania spot and we'll get Mark Henry instead
