Great feedback guys. It seems that the majority would have Swagger remain, but I am still wondering how people would replace him if they chose a different wrestler (Mark Henry, Y2J, Orton). Sure, we can say that it "fits" but how would you make it work.
I vote for keeping Swagger in the match. Sure, we're over a month away from the event but I think that this angle already has enough momentum that pulling it would hurt both Swagger and Del Rio. If I was the WWE, I would use this as a chance to determine if Swagger has the character to make the most out of this bad situation. Continue to give Swagger (and Dutch) the time on the mic and build towards the Mania match. If Swagger can continue to produce at a high level, even knowing that he won't be winning the title AND see a suspension after Mania, then keep him on the roster as he is showing that he has the character to take the punishment that he deserves for making an immature mistake (regardless my stance on pot, he knew what "could" happen if he got caught and chose to do it anyways). This could be a good image for the WWE in giving their talent chances to redeem and excel in a bad situation, even though they messed up in the first place.
However, if Swagger begins to slack or fails to prove that he is both sincere and motivated because he knows that he will be seeing some Orton-like vacation time soon, as a company I might choose to let him go. Sure, he has gained a bit of press with this current storyline, but I am sure Swagger wasn't the one who created it in the first place. If he can't show the dedication to the company, they need to cut their loss with him. He has been in the E Universe for quite a while now and someone with as much time as him should know better than to make these poor choices and the E Universe needs to break the current image that guys who are with the company for x amount of time can get away with whatever they want. Besides, the WWE might be a little better with this current "Swagger story" but that is due to the writing involved; not that Swagger has created all this buzz on his own.
