TNA Impact Wrestling video game

PWinsider.com is reporting that TNA President Dixie Carter and Jason Hervey were in California this week to pursue a video game deal with Activision. Dixie Carter revealed via her twitter account that she was on her way with Hervey to California on the 19th for a series of meetings.

On the other hand a source i recently spoke to said that he had no knowledge of TNA speaking with Activision although Carter did confirm that he was at a meeting in Santa Monica, the city that houses Activision's headquarters.

Our sources did confirm that Carter and Hervey were in California to iron out details of using the TNA Impact Wrestling properties for casino style online gaming.

Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey's Bischoff Hervey Entertainment currently owns a 50% stake in a company called MX Digital which creates online games for social media platforms and online casino style websites. Their headquarters is located in California. Ironically, Eric Bischoff also noted on the 19th that he too was heading to California to meet with MX Digital's Social Gaming Director.

It remains to be seen if Carter did indeed speak to Activision representatives. A TNA Impact Wrestling property, be it for social gaming or online casino websites is all but confirmed at this point.

According to PWTorch.com, TNA's rumored talks with Activision regarding the TNA video game license is in the "Semi-Advanced Stage" for Activision to aquire the license to create a TNA video game. The report goes on to mention that due to the long term nature of any game project, the game would likely debut on the upcoming next generation consoles.

Several things great to see the beginning stages of a new game for them.... I liked the 1st game, was great they touched certain arenas they visited.... Hopefully they will do the same this one...
Hopefully they will do more with the story-line mode expand it... Even include the Knockouts....

Should be good with TNA expanding more and going on the road.... to see a new video game..

Activision is HUGE! Their budget could be used for making a really high quality game. Activision has NO comparisson to Midway at the time. Activision doesn't have to worry about spending their budget on legends. Create a familiar mechanic to what THQ started, but improve it to what fans have been demanding for years. Graphics will obviously be even better. If this is happening, these are probably better news than Take 2 acquiring the WWE license. We'll have to wait another year to finally see Take 2's real vision of the WWE gaming franchise, since they're keeping Yukes for this year, and hired the THQ team. I'm not for anyone losing their jobs, but Ledesma was by far the biggest liar and should be sued for his constant false advertising.
Activision can take wrestling games to new heights. All they need to worry about is adding the key factors that allows fans to customize everything in the game. Specially being able to load music for your wrestler from the hard drive. I believe they should really capitalize on customization. Kinect exists, and Vince isn't a fan of anyone uploading an image, or using a photo to creat a wrestler, since that basically stops him from making money with DLC. We should be able to upload, or take photos with kinect or move and use them for the create modes. I'm sure TNA will find a huge advantage in this.

It is going to be hard to keep up with Take 2 though. With them owning Rockstar and 2K they have some amazing talent that will most likely be behind this project. Activision will definitely bring something different to the table and from TNA's standpoint this is about as high as they can get. Pretty excited if I get to play it on my new PlaystationBox 4720.

Not sure if I'm excited or not. Activision is a big name with lots of money, but their quality of games are a mix bag. If they're lucky, it could be as big as Skylanders or Transformers. If they're unlucky, it could be like Family Guy or 007 Legends (and these examples were this year). With 2K, you not only get all that talent but the knowledge they have done sports games before.

Not to mention, Activision was responsible for The Simpsons Wrestling.

I just want something to come out for PC, lols. I'm giving up on consoles and their upcoming restrictions that sound like we'll be spending 3 times more cash to be able to enjoy them. I have faith that Vince will allow Take 2 to give us a PC release. Holy WWE 14 modding...

PLEASE, show me an entire report of a private company's budget, and monthly earning. Specially a private wrestling company that is backed by a oil and gas company.

Anyway....
I hope we get a 360/3 release too, since I've been reading that it's suppose to release for next gen. Wouldn't mind that either as long as there's a PC port or something.
